On another note, we're looking forward to the rally and we're taking our first trip of the season this week. Going to Henderson Harbor area on Lake Ontario. Campground is The Willows on the Lake. My brother lives right in front of the campground in a home originally owned by the builder of the campground.

Other family will be at the campground but I will be on a site conveniently located on my brother's property, but right near the other campsites.

I'm going up early to supply some needed labor for a minor repair project. I am so pumped about getting my first camping season, after semi retirement, started. I've been putting lots of hours in on cleaning/maintenance/projects etc.... on the 5er. I have to stop lurking on this forum as every neat little mod I see usually ends up on my agenda.

Just think how bored you would be if you did not have mods to do.

Glad to hear the storm took it easy on you. We had a couple trees fall on houses and cause damage and alot of tree damage all over. Our one golf course had most of the trees on the course busted off or uprooted. I have only seen a short video so far but plan to go check it out tomorrow.

On the other note I have another week and a half before our first camping outing in the new rig. I know your excitement and can't wait to go. We've done a few little things but decided to take it slow until we get some time in it to decide on what we want to add.

Yes, lasted about 15 minutes with one big blast of thunder. Had no idea it was coming. Probably was about 1 or so when it came through.

Yeah we were in camper. DW got nervous, since we were in one around 2010 in North East Maryland that took down a ton of trees, which took out my awning, and a couple of guys trucks Took them almost the whole day just to clear park roads to make passable.

No one got injured so that was good.

I camp regularly at Elk Neck SP and was there a few days after the storm in 2010. It was awful. Was up there several weeks back after a major storm had come through with almost the same results. 272 was closed in several places outside of town heading to the park and inside the park it looked like a war zone.

It is a very nice park though. We enjoy going there. We always have to stop at Capt. Chris' Crab Shack for all you can eat crabs.

There is no shortage of good eateries in or near North East. I've been really ticked that Elk Neck started closing from December-April two seasons ago and this year they are shutting down the North East Loop from September on for 'bathhouse' renovations that supposedly will create more optimum handicap use. I have never seen any issues with that bathhouse regarding access or use. There are a myriad of other things going on that I won't get into but I am missing my 'winter home'. However, Lums Pond SP in DE off 896 has become my newest 'go to' for winter. The SP itself has a lot to do, although the CG is not as wooded as Elk Neck and it does not have the vista views of the water around Elk Neck.

July 21-23 Chenango Valley State Park, Chenango Valley, NY Mini Rally

We have 10 units registered that I know of that has let me know, 25 people if the six that has not let me know how many are in their party has 2 people

We have units from:

1 NY
4 PA
2 MA
1 CT
1 MD

Then where ever you are from. It's not on your profile. So we have a good mix of states represented.
