Hahahahaha, you will be fine. You're in a good spot. Don't worry you can sleep on the way home.

June 22-24, 2018 - 3rd Annual Gettysburg Rally!

We are booked for site #78. We enjoyed last year’s Rally and look forward to this one! Will arrive on Wednesday. We will also need tour tickets. Please post to this site or send emails as we will be on the road the two months prior to the rally.

Thank you all for your quick responses and reservations. It is a huge help to know there is such great interest in this rally which makes the planning of this event that much easier. We’d like to share some additional information to help respond to the questions we are receiving.

In the next week or so there will be a link posted to an online site which will allow everyone to sign up for the potluck gatherings and pick items to bring. As we experimented with last year, there will once again be options for those who would rather not prepare items and would prefer to order/purchase arranged trays or paper goods.

This same online link will also be your opportunity to book the bus trips. Based on the response, we will possibly be offering not one but two bus trips. Both tours are appropriate for kids and adults alike. Pricing for both trips is currently in the works.

Trip 1 - Battlefield Tour: The same trip as last year for a two-hour battlefield tour with an NPS licensed battlefield guide. There are opportunities to get off the bus and visit five or six sites for more detailed discussion and pictures. We need to fill 45 seats to run this tour.

Trip 2 – Eisenhower National Historic Site: For those who might not want to repeat the battlefield, we are looking to book a second tour to the home and farm of General and President Eisenhower. This tour is also approximately a two-hour trip with a narrated presentation on the way. Once at the site, there is a tour led by an NPS ranger and then a self-guided section. We need to fill at least 30 seats to run this tour.

Both trips will depart from and return to the campground, and will return in time for the Saturday Night Dinner.

We are also coordinating a Thursday night “Early Bird” dinner at a downtown location for those who would like to participate. We are working out the detail, but it most likely it will be a sit down 3 to 4 course dinner with a choice of three entrees. Following dinner, we will be free to explore some of the shops and sights of downtown Gettysburg. Per plate costs for this dinner are looking to be in the range of $25-35 per person (tax and gratuity included).

Saturday morning crafts for both adults and kids will be held mid-morning and will conclude with ample time to grab some lunch before leaving on the bus trips. There will a nominal fee for materials on the adult craft. Details to follow.

And, last but certainly not least, we are also working on a couple seminars or coffee talks to add to the schedule. Possible topics include fire safety, first aid and emergency preparedness, and possibly some RV maintenance.

Any additional questions for now, please let us know! We’ll be posting more information in the next few weeks.
Thanks!
Rob and Stephanie
