Have you been to this campground? We stayed there July 4th weekend and it was terrible. The staff was very rude, reminded me of the HOA Camandos. The park roads asphalt is all brokenup and instead of re-asphalt they filled with crushed rock. All the dust from crushed rocks makes a dust storm every time someone drives by. There's literally less than 3 feet between your awning area to next camper, the fire rings are the size of a 13" tire. The pool is tiny, only can fit no more than 10 people including 2 tables with umbrellas and no more seating on deck. I would highly recommend you stay there a weekend before choosing this campground. Unicoi State Park is in that area and so pretty. Sorry to voice here but our July 4th stay was terrible we got in on that Friday and left on Sunday afternoon before the 4th. Please check this campground out. Thanks

State parks are a no go due to unable to reserve a block.

We have stayed there many a time and never seen the issues you talk about. We will be there again next month. The folks that run the cg have always been friendly and are more than willing to support the rally. Last rally we where at had gravel and paved roads no different than the one in Helen. Sorry to hear you where not impressed. The cg got excellent reviews and better than some other ones in the area. Maybe you are use to the resort type parks which this is not. BTW one can not book a State Park or Corp park. Later RJD

It will be in November. When registration opens we will take orders for the Tee shirts also. Later RJD

Wanting comments if folks would be interested in having a live band that plays Blue Grass and possibly for Friday evening. If so I will check the cost and see what the cost per camper would be. Later RJD

OK... November it is. I've been watching this thread so we don't miss anything. We like the T-shirt idea... the design looks good! We'll get two of them in Large when the time comes.

We've camped all around the Helen area but never this close. Mostly State Parks except Riverbend in Hiawassee. Looking forward to meeting other Forest River owners!
