Yeah, but there are rumors that you are the black sheep of the family, so, get in line! JK!

A viscous rumor started by F.R.O.G. Bob, no doubt.

We're leaving STL on Friday, the 20th, and wandering around the country for a while before arriving in Kerrville. See you in a couple of weeks.

Mike

Lori, sorry we've missed connections over the past few days. We got to Rafter Bar J in Hill City today, and went up the hill to check on the Presidents on Mount Rushmore this evening. They're not alive, but are well.

I did something to my knee in West Yellowstone -- twisted is stepping in a depression from a ground squirrel tunnel, I think -- and have hardly been able to walk from the pain in it for the past week. Gee, if only someone were willing to step in!

I'll give you a call tomorrow about Kerrville.

Mike, Mom didn't say "family first," she said "be nice to your little brother." You weren't listening.

now this rally would be close i could actually make that one. You also have space center they do group rates and if contacted may even get them cheaper. Galveston Duck tours Galveston Duck Tours
Kema Board Walk. granted not as good of Tours as maybe Gossen.

My preference is the last weekend in March 2014. The school spring break season will be at an end, but Easter will still be several weeks away. The wildflowers should be in bloom, the birds migrating, and all the local attractions will be up and running with the kinks worked out of their operations. Read Susan Wittag Albert's new China Bayles novel, Widow's Tears, this weekend. It's a fast read and gives lots of information about the 1900 storm.

How many and what sort of optional activities are you planning? Possibilities in the Galveston County area - beyond exploring independently - could include a dinner cruise, winery tour, or show at the Grand Opera House. (We're going down in July to see Riders in the Sky! Saw Asleep at the Wheel last year.) Those are just a few off the top of my head. We may be able to get discount coupons for Schlitterbahn, Pleasure Pier, Kemah Board Walk, Space Center Houston, Moody Gardens, and other venues from the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
What sort of numbers are you setting up with the park/resort in Kerrville? Did they ask for any contracts, deposits, etc.?
Is your RV out of the shop yet? Our next trip will probably be the weekend of June 14. East Tex-LA Escapee group will be getting together for their monthly lunch so we'll probably take the trailer up and try out one of the parks around Onalaksa or Woodville.
Would love to hear from anyone reading this post with thoughts about the spring rally or places to meet up more informally between now and then.

Steph

I spoke with Lori and Dan last night, and they're putting together a great event in Kerrville. They now have nearly 70 units confirmed, and expect to get a few more spaces to accommodate folks on the waiting list.

Steph, we've been looking at doing a plantation tour from Baton Rouge down the River Road next spring, possibly including Nottoway, Oak Alley and others. Maybe we could coordinate a couple of events.

Quilting shop in Kerrville

I have never been there, but I've been told that Creations of Kerrville is a super place to shop for quilting fabric. I would love to have someone other than my husband accompany me to this store. He is not a shopper by any means and I always want to look and look. Creations of Kerrville, Texas: Great Stuff for Quilting and Sewing Enthusiasts

My favorite quilting shop and a must see for anyone! We got a call a few days ago that we have a reservations. Probably will not be towing so will have to ride with you. This will be our first rally and sounds like fun and the Buckhorn is a nice spot.

Tell him its not that bad....I've been there more times than I care to count with my little quilter...they have a coffee machine and rocking chairs on the front porch for us guys. If he's good, you can reward him with a trip to the great gun shop on the other end of town!

Ha! I wish we could be there...our Cedar Creek is scheduled to be built next week, so we won't be able to attend this year. We try to go to the Kerrville area several times a year...so much to do and see in the "Swiss Alps of Texas" !

Call them, I talked with her this week, they are giving us more sites. I think they've let everyone in from the waiting list.
Call 1-800-568-6458 talk with Kim. Let me know what happens. Email, TX_FROG@satx.rr.com

We will have to cancel our plans to attend the Rally, some family business has risen and is forcing this decision. Hope to meet everyone next time.

Cheers!
