Kids going to Goshen

Thought I would start a thread for anyone who will have children with them at the rally in Goshen. As it stands right now, I will have my 6yr daughter for sure and most likely 2-4 16/17yr olds, at least for part of the week. We've been looking into some activities to do with the little ones during the week and thought this would be a good place to share ideas. Lets get the kids involved!

Last year we had a few families with children, and are hoping for more this year. That's one of the primary reasons that we moved the date a week earlier -- hoping to get a date before many students (and teachers) have to return to school.

Some of the entertainment that we're going to have will, I believe, appeal to children as well as adults. We're just finalizing arrangements with Willie and Company, an outstanding ventriloquism act. We'll also be adding some vendors with "treats" for both kids and adults, and can do more if we appear to be getting more children. We have some registered now, but not nearly as many as I'd like to see.

We've been to the museum. It is great, but probably a little far for a day trip. Wife and I throw a neighborhood block party and always do games for kids. If there are enough we may do something similar

Still looking for more families with children or grandchildren attending the rally in Goshen. If there is enough interest I'll commit to making sure they have a good time! My wife and I often throw parties with children being the focal point. Many games and prizes. Our goal is to get the younger generations involved and to make this a rally of all ages!
