A note on the yard sale: Our park here allows one day in March where you can put treasures at your lot for sale : They run an add in the local paper advertising it. It is very well attended from locals outside the park. If it were to look like several would bring things an add might work. ?

All depends on the CG owners...they may not want unregistered people wandering through the CG. We have stayed at several CG's that require a day pass for visitors...

They don't register visitors but I don't think I would advertise outside the campground, I don't want all that traffic coming through.

Stone Mtn state park is 30-40 mins away. They have water/electric hookups and a dump station. I live 20 mins from mt. Airy, anybody need anything just send me message.

Was thinking of a game for the go-carts. We did one at a Jeep Rally it is a ball to watch.

You set some hiway cones and the driver of the cart is blindfolded the passenger directs the driver were to go and at each cone puts a ball on top. After the last cone they switch places and collect the balls. Best time Wins.

At a car show I used to do, we did one better than that. Biggest difference was, they went backwards rather then forward. It would have everyone in stitches watching and more people wanting to try! Great deal. Ran the show for 11 years and the Reverse cart race, yes it was timed with time added for each cone nocked down.

I would worry about liability with games like these. Besides OCW would win with white dog navigating him.

In 11years of the show, not one person was hurt in the golf cart deal. We did it away from the crowd so no one stupid enough to get run over could. I'm talking ages 16-86!

I emailed Kali at the campground. Here was her response:
It's fine if they want to bring their own as long as there is no metal in it whatsoever. But, we do have firewood for sale here in good size bundles for $5. As for fire rings, each of our 5 picnic shelters have community fire pits at them. We also have some we'll loan out on a first come first serve basis. Campers are welcome to bring their own fire rings too as long as they are elevated off of the ground.

Thanks Ally: I think? FROG Bob furnished some at the rally I attended in Ohio when we had campfire get together in evenings. However we did not have as many attendees. Are you planning on evening camp fire get together also? Later RJD

I figure we can all contribute and have group campfires at the various group firepits each night.
