Sorry Neil, been out of pocket for the past few days.

I am in favor of whichever method raises the maximum amount of money.

I bet, if you threw in a set of poles with those brackets you could raise some serious auction bucks!

Brian, it is definitely NOT I-75 to I-65 Route!

If you come through Windsor,Just keep going west Toward Ft Wayne IN and Catch I-65 South. We avoid I-75 like the plague - even when we go to MI without our 5er!

I16 - the most desolate stretch of interstate on the Eastern Seaboard

I don't envy you driving through Hotlanta John...

Tim - is I-65 still dorked up From @ Mammoth Cave to E-town North and Southbound?

We need to make a run up to mom & dad's next month...

You say that about I-75 and I say that about I-65 through Alabama, especially Birmingham, with their random road signs that only cause chaos!

No more material for poles. Made 11 sets and they are all spoken for or picked up.

However, if i75 thru Ohio is not a problem this is how we'd go: i75 to i71 to i65.
Even if there isn't construction (which there is) I would not want to take I-75 south through Ohio...Better to make your best way to I-65 in IN and head south. Flatter and a hardly any potholes to avoid

Are you a member of Passport America? We have several CGs we stay at on that route. It might even be worth it for you to join PA if you are going to make 2-3 overnight stops to and from CA

Tim, I hear you Brother! I-65 to B'Ham is not to bad. I-65 S of B'ham to Montgomery is a public disgrace! B'ham is trying to clean up their act though - once the new interchanges get completed it will not be such a PITA to navigate through. We got funds to fix I-16, WHY we can't get funding to fix I-65 south is beyond me!

Birmingham has a "lane ends" sign above the "slow lane" going south, when the lane doesn't end! All it does is make everyone try to merge into the left lane and creates a backup for miles! Was that way both times going through last week.

As long as BombDoc and Aquaman keep FT Turbs in his steel cage, I am sure everyone will have a fantastic time. Caution: Please don't feed animals in cages.
