Didn't see any upcoming NW events. Where are all the Washington FROGs? Where are we going?

You might have to be the one to organize a FROG rally if there are not groups already active. That is what I did last year. I'd never been to a rally, but it was pretty easy to organize. We had 34 attend the first year and last month we had almost 80 attend. Growth is good, but we had a few growing pains this year. The make up of the group was older, which means their interests were a little different. We put together a committee to plan next years rally, which I think will work well. Good luck! It's fun and worth it!

According to the FROG Website there will be a rally at cannon beach oregon August 6-@2, 2017.

First, thank you all. Secondly, I'll check out the Oregon Rally. Lastly, I'd be willing to organize a Washington based rally, but have to admit that the older crowd intimidates me. I'm in my thirties, and hardly a wine drinking, retired traveler. I envy them, as they are enjoying life while I'm still figuring life out. I use my travel trailer as home base for hiking, fishing, hunting, swimming, and biking, as they typically use theirs to socialize and relax. Not that there is anything wrong with that; I'm just not there yet. Maybe we need working F.R.O.G.s and retired F.R.O.G.s? How did you organize an event? Did you reserve an entire campround, or just say "let's meet in...on this day...."?

So I'm not much older than you... I'm in my early 40's, I have a 9 yr old daughter and both DH and I still work full-time. I have seen young families with young kids all the way through older retirees at rallies. You can participate in as much or as little as you want at a rally. I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I went to a rally, that was 5 years ago. Afterwards, I was addicted. I have been to at least one or two rallies a year. Originally, it was with crossroads and then FROG. Both groups are a lot of fun.

I would suggest attending at least one rally before organizing a rally. This will give you a better feel for what is expected.

I planned the Mayberry Rally in NC earlier this year. It was a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun to plan. I had all the help I asked for from other members. As for activities, each rally is different. At Mayberry, we had a local beer, wine and cheese social to get to know each other (drinking is never required). We had a potluck breakfast, a seminar followed by an ice cream social, a catered dinner, a potluck dinner and a trailer trash to treasure yard sale. We had a dealer there with several new rigs and selling stuff from their mobile store. We had giveaways at every gathering. Some went and toured town together or by themselves. New friends were made and old friends were able to catch up with each other. We have made some great new friends at each rally that we still continue to keep up with.

Thanks for the info. A rally really seems like it would be fun. I can't wait to attend one. You're absolutely right in suggesting I wait to coordinate one. I'm sure I don't realize the effort involved. For now, I'll simply participate.

Not sure how far you are willing to travel but they also hold one in Hemet CA every year.

Come to the one being planned at Cannon Beach,, Oregon......have been to two, one in Nashville and one at Mt. Airy, North Carolina.....enjoyed both
