Thanks for the info. Not a bad ride for a day. Even driving down in the RV. Heading to the Trace for the trip home.

Bob,

This will be my first rally, so I am not sure about this request. I have seen seen several comments regarding whether a space was taken, reserved or if the person has yet registered. Is it wrong to suggest that possibly a list of who is registered and in what site be posted? Of course, first names only.

A32Deuce, where are planning to get on the Trace at? I've driven it from Jackson, MS to Natchez, MS and years ago before having an RV from Jackson north to Corinth, MS. A nice easy drive with very little traffic on the weekdays, gets pretty busy on weekends.

Russ,
Bob is off line for a few days. You have to call the campground to register, and then follow that up with a PM to Bob with your info, the map can be updated later. Really the map is just to give us an idea on what sites are still opened.

BooBoo23, getting on the trace at the beginning in Miss. and heading north/east. Did the same trip a couple years ago coming home from Cruzin the Coast. The year the gov. shut down. Nothing on the trace was open, entrances were blocked. Very nice ride otherwise!

We stay at Windcreek SP most of the summer and love Alexander City. Call ahead to the museum, it can be a hit or miss when they are open. We haven't been through it yet but will try again this summer.

Easiest way to get there from Gadsden is 77 South to Talladega bypass and stay on 21 until you hit 280 East in Sylacauga which will take you directly to Alexander City.

Do you go to Cruzin the Coast every year? My mom lives in Waveland, MS and we see cars there from all over the US and Canada. There were even cars there last year from Germany and Mexico. My brother usually has at least 2 cars in the show every year. (Corvettes and Jaguars depending on what is running/finished being restored/painted etc.). Last year one of his friends had an RV spot right across from the beach in Gulfport. Hopefully we can "know the right people" this year and get a spot for our MH. I guess that means I have to be nice to my brother...

We have been there a couple times. Try different shows in different places.

Thanks Chuck. I have already registered and submitted the form to Bob. I was just suggesting a current list of all those registered with Bob and the site numbers. This could reduce some of the confusion some have had. Not sure if it's a good idea or not. But when we get there, we could have a list (first names) to meet and greet with as we get to know each other. Just a thought.

RKNOLA, there is a nice campground in Gulfport, Parkers Landing. It's right off I-10 at exit 41 across the street from Camping World. I have checked it out for future stay if needed. Our son lives in Biloxi so we go there whenever we have a chance.

Talladega has a nice museum, a little outdated, but nice non the less. You can also take a ride around the track. I live five miles behind Talladega so I get my fill twice a year of drunk rednecks and stay away from it.

If you want to make a couple stops on your way to Natchez I recommend a COE campground called "Service" with an address of Silas, AL, right on the Tombigbee River with barge traffic, actually only 3 miles west of Coffeeville, AL, a very well kept campground with a number of pull-thru's right on the riverbank. One of my favorite campgrounds (will be there in a couple weeks). For a camp site near Natchez I recommend "Riverview RV park and Resort" just across the river from Natchez in Vidalia, LA, right on the Mississippi riverbank, use Passport for a discount. When you leave Alexander City go down to Montgomery and head west to Selma then head south to Grove Hill, AL and pickup US84 west and stop at "Service" COE about 20 miles west of Grove Hill. US84 is 2 lane for about 45 miles until you hit the Mississippi state line and from then on it is 4 lane all the way across the state to Natchez, not much traffic.

You will be kept in the loop with the rally mailing list Russ

I will probably be sending out a update sometime next week to all registered attendees.

Bob, I see your signature says "waiting for our Berkshire". Did you get it ordered the way you want it? What's the delivery date?

The BOSS told me that she may have plans to attend a wedding in Tupelo on Saturday of the rally. If that is the case, me might miss this year. I won't let her drive that far by herself. Too far off yet to argue about it. We'll figure it out as it gets closer.
