October 5-9 2016 - Alabama - BamaGanza

Yep we are on the Calendar!

We will be back at Noccalula Falls Campground next October and Kaila Fair has given us a "Prime" Weekend!!

BamaGanza will be held over Gadsden's "First Friday In October." The town closes its streets to traffic and has a open city fest. This will happen all day Friday, and is a awesome event -- here is a link to this year's event:
October First Friday

Other Things to look Forward to:
  • We will reprise the BamaGanza Putt-Putt Tournament!
  • The Heaton Brothers Band will return!
  • The RV Dealers are slated to return - along with free minor repairs from the techs!
  • Flash PotLucks
  • Cornhole
  • And More!

Many other activities are being planned, so stay tuned! The Falls Campground will start taking reservations in early 2016 so watch this thread for updates on when registration opens!

We are re-planning how we have the RV dealer display units so we are hoping to be able to add 8-15 sites to our rally! Also if you are good with a water/electric site and do not have a large rig (30+ ft) there are 10+ sites to accommodate you (The CG does have a central dump facility).

One thing to be aware of as you plan your trip is we MUST be off site by 12 Oct because the Gadsden Tractor Pull event will be taking most of the campsite then (you MAY be able to negotiate a late stay with Kaila when you register in early 2016)

Great info Bob...if we start now we should be able to surpass the NC Rally ref: number of responses prior to rally time. Next year I want a BamaGanza shirt!

Most of that is back-chat about truck types and not relevant to the actual topic.

SilhouettePenny -- shirts? Yougot a bumper sticker! Shirts would be good... are you willing to pay for them? I AM!! Who is going to design them.

Bob, Anne Marie and crew --- I am happy to help if you need anything, I can do long distance.

Was a FABULOUS rally... very relaxing... I felt no pressure to do anything if I did not want to. No schedule to meet! LOVED IT!!

Ken and I WILL BE BACK!! It's on our schedule already.

Indeed it was!! As soon as FRF gets the bugs out of the photo uploads, I will post a rather large event album!

As for shirt design, given the BamaGanza Shirt Pennie did for Dennis, Anne-Marie Sandy & I -- I vote her shirt designer!

We're in.
I wish we could have made it this time, but we're on for next year. I'll be signing up as soon as the reservations are open.

Just waiting for reservations to be opened. T-shirts will be great. I like Anne-Marie's idea for a cookbook also.

If the timing works out we might need to add this one to the list. We will be heading to Florida some time next October. This rally sounds like a blast.

Bob, Anne Marie, Dennis and Sandy did a great job of putting this together this year. I wouldn't want to forget all the others that helped with food prep and cooking on Saturday evening. DW and I enjoyed all the great fellowship. Also the breakfasts sponsored by the RV dealers Hooks and Bankston,

You can count on us being back next year for sure. I would encourage attendees to pitch in and help with the event to give Bob and Dennis a break, they worked their hearts out to put his on. Shirts or pins would be something to consider (I'm not a bumper sticker person, sorry).

I've already put in for the time of from work, don't want to miss what looked like a great time. If you need any help in the mean time I live in Talladega so I'm not far away. Looking forward to our first BamGanza.

Thumbs up

Kyra told me they open registration for October in July. Already have it on my calendar. Please add my name to your volunteer list if you need any help.

Maybe we will be in shape for that 30 degree hike next year.
