That'll give some of us a better chance to join if we can spread a few around. After all, Ontario's a big province. For example, that one you referred is twice the distance from here than it was to get to Goshen.

Absolutely! I just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of the one coming in June. There's no problem with doing multiple events (there are two coming up in Ohio) just so they're not so close in date or location that they're fighting each other for attendance.

That is also the same weekend as the Great Lakes FMCA Area Rally.
FMCA members will have to decide between the two.
It is a lot better to many rally's then none at all.

Now that it's the new year, I thought I'd revive this topic. I'm still interested in seeing if we can get something going in SW Ontario. I can recommend Camper's Cove (camperscove.ca) as an option, but that might be a little too far south for some of you. However it would meet most of the wants for a FROG location (fair number of sites, pavilion, etc...) I haven't tried contacting them yet, nor looked at dates as I'd rather gauge the interest first.
Or, alternatively, any other sites you all might recommend.

We have been to two different rallies at the fair grounds in Blyth ON. They have a lot of room there, perhaps larger than Frog would need for the first rally in south western Ontario. I also know that some other groups have had rallies at Drayton ON. Also Green Acre park in Waterloo has many rallies. They are a full service park and are more expensive and may be hard to get into in the peak season.

Toronto RV Show
Good morning Kaadak. I will be at the Toronto RV show at the International Centre, by the airport, this weekend. I will b e representing FROG at the Camp Out RV Stratford site. Any FROGS attending should stop by and visit and we can further explore your ideas. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

Being on the opposite side of Toronto, (from my point of reference down here in Windsor) you should definitely look into the existing Frog Campout. There's details about it on the FROG page ( FROG - Forest River Owners Group). Since you're already up that way it wouldn't be a far jump for you. I wish I could make it myself, but that's too far for a weekend trip for us. That's why I'd like to see about getting a second one going, possibly late fall, maybe next spring, that's closer to the south side.

Hello all, We were at the Toronto RV On Friday as well. We finally met with the manager of Bingemans Camping Resort in Kitchener., kept missing him on the phone. Oktoberfest is held Thanksgiving weekend. They have a camping package that includes 3 nights camping and 2 nights of Oktoberfest Friday and Saturday. The big Thanksgiving Day Parade is Monday Morning, Canada's largest.
If there is suitable interest we will discuss Numbers and Can get pricing worked out.
Potential Weekend would look like this
3 nights Camping, going to work on Thursday night free camping for a 4th night for early arrivals
2 Nights Oktoberfest if you like on site Festhall
Dinner Buffet of fine German Food and Mennonite Specialties
Saturday Morning Farmers Market Visit Possible
Sunday is a down day at Bingemens, Possible Lunch Buffet at Local Mennonite Restaurant
There is also a very large Bowling Alley onsite as well with Boston Pizza, we could a Frog Tourney
This is the World's Second Best Oktoberfest! Only to Germany.
Depending on likes or dislikes there is a lot going on in Kitchener-Waterloo this weekend including many Authentic German events.
Please let us know If this something that would interest everyone..
WNY is only 3 hours away, Michigan Port Huron is 3 hours as well

Hi Brian. We would possibly be interested but we are so close it might be counter productive to take a site from a distant visitor for such a great event. That being said we may be able to help out behind the scenes if you need us. Keep us in the loop and we will see what we can do to help if we can. Good work guys. Nice to have some great Canadian FROGS to put themselves out there to try to get something like this organized. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

We head down to Rondeau in April. We like the area ourselves. Depending on Dates might be interested, a 2 hour drive for us.

This works for me. (Not sure about DW yet though.)
Given the existing one in June, and if we're doing this one in October, maybe I'll look into the other Southwestern Ontario one in Spring of '16. I was thinking if we did it just before Victoria Day, say May 13-14-15 looking at the 2016 calendar than we can call it something like: "SW Ontario FROG Season Opener" or even better " Annual SW Ontario FROG Season Opener".
If there's interest I can try setting something up with the one site, and then we can rotate locations around SW Ontario year to year.

Hello All,
Been a week since posting details. Thanksgiving weekend is a stretch for many. I knew that when I posted the dates. Also some feedback on being too late in the season for some, all ready Winterized. There is an option for the weekend after Thanksgiving as well if Oktoberfest is something people would like.
Let us know if you have any Interest either here or by PM.
Brian
