The call of the wild is too strong to resist and we will be camping out Friday and Saturday with y'all! Booked site 56 this morning. It's the maiden voyage of our unnamed 5W!

To All FROG GERS attending the Kerrville rally. Dennis and I have been asked by Lori to do a "dutch oven " class/ demonstration. I/We will try to make this happen on day of the "pot luck" dinner. Maybe have a sign up for participation come next Sept before rally.

We had a wonderful, delicious and peaceful campout at Cedar Ridge Park @ Lake Belton Dec 2-6, 2015. JC and Pamela, Dave and Carol and ourselves were joined on Sarurday by Mike, Bonnie and Frank for our awesome visit with Brian Moran- the "Know your stuff" technical expert from Forest River Inc. Brian happened to be nearby teaching the technical staff at Waco FunTown. He shared his knowledge, expertise, ideas and encouraged us all that FR is really working hard to improve their customer experiences. He was very patient with our many questions and with helping some of us who have had some really poor experiences with local dealerships. He even provided some amazing giveaways for us! Thank you again Brian!! JC asked Brian to come to the Annual Texas FROG event in October and he said he would try hard to be there. Thanks to all of you who came and shared your experiences and amazing cooking with us!! Pictures will be posted in a day or two.

Thanks Laura and Larry for putting this on. Wish I had been able to camp out with you all instead of just being there for yesterday, but am so thankful that I got to be there and get all the knowledge that Brian was able to give us.

Sorry to hear some of the issues some of the group have had with Forest River dealers, my experiences so far have all been positive. But was glad to see how helpful Brian wanted to be and follow up on things.

Really enjoyed getting to meet everyone last night. Anyone interested in staying in touch on Face Book, feel free to send me a friend request. Just search Frank Sherman and look for my picture pre-beard. Happy Camping all!

For our first ever RV outing we couldn't have had a better time with better people! Larry and Laura were there to help me park the second we rolled in and the weekend was a huge classroom for Carol and I! I learned things I should have been told on my PDI and we learned so many tips and tricks from maintenance to organization. Not often does a first time experience RVing have a factory rep there to ask anything as well as over 40 years of RV experience among the hosts and attendees. With the campout being so small, I felt it was like our own personal introduction to RVing! I can't thank Laura & Larry and JC & Pamela enough for being such great friends and campers, we look forward to spending many more nights together in the future! We are going to the Texas Rally!

daveclark, After the demo on dumping tanks, I forgot to mention, that you can close the valves and add the tank additives/ treatment with about a gallon of water. Also if you winterize there should be some antifreeze in tank from what you run thru your drains.

The Cedar Ridge campout was a relaxing but action packed weekend of enlightenment. We shared our thoughts Over a campfire each night, cooked meals (some "dutch oven") and shared the food.
Discussed an evaluated the different dealerships service department. (eye opener)
"Thank You" Brian Moran for the demo and spending over 4 hours answering our questions along with the CDs on the "How To"
Enjoyed meeting everyone and the their four legged kids :-).Laura, Larry & batman, dave, Carol & Timmy, Frank Sherman, Mike and Bonnie who came for Brian's Q&A session
Hope we can do this again in the spring. if not, See ya! @ the Kerrville rally

Thank you JC! That was a great demo, the explanation of the process by the dealer was terrible at best. I had no problems at all and she's squeaky clean!

We are hooked now! Booked Lake Georgetown for Christmas weekend so it's about a 10 minute drive to the house when we need to be there, but we're sleeping at the lake!

I did not put things together until this morning that I have been following you and the problems with the damage to your camper from the run away parcar.

Hope you are able to pick it up today and they have it all fixed and everything works perfectly. It would have been a highlight of the rally to listen to all you had to go thru.

It's time.........what a wonderful reunion it will be.

We got it!!! Looks good. New slide wall with new decals, new slide rams and gears, new landing gear, and several other smaller items. Gonna give it a good inspection today. They even washed it and put tire black on the tires. Now, where to first?
