Quartzsite, why no rally?

Just came back from Quartzsite for the RV event. I saw so many FR RVs, yet everyone seemed to be by themselves. How come there is no Rally with ten of thousands of RVs here? I only saw La Posas and may have missed them a Scadden Wash or Plomosa Rd.

Most of the rallies are run by those who volunteer to organize them with the exception of a couple of rallies ie Goshen and Charleston. For example I volunteered to host a rally in NC this spring. I am responsible for planning and organizing it but FROG contributes to the rally. If you are interested in starting a quartzite rally check out this thread

Thanks, I think I would rather attend one first before attempting anything. Can never tell, 5,000 FR owners could show up at Quartzsite! Besides, I'm more of the second lieutenant type. May see later on in the year if there is any interest. Does FROG provide and banners and name badges etc?

Most of the things you need to know are in the thread I gave you. This is my first rally to plan and my second FROG rally (although I attended a couple of crossroads rallies in the past). I believe you get some help with some of that.

First thing you should do is feel the water and see if others are interested. I say if you have 6 or more rigs- run with it cause that number will grow once it hits the newsletter.

I really just want to go to one and see what it's like. No thought at the present to actually forming one. Maybe some day.

I can see having a F/R Rally at Quartzsite would be Real close to trying to pull one off at Sturgis during Bike Week,Daytona Nascar Week,or DC during a Blizzard! Youroo!!

Quartzsite, why no rally?

I've planned and contributed to 3 rally's.
Pick a spot, get interest, set a date, plan your rally!
Soon you'll be a rally coordinator!

On the topic of rallies, if anyone hears about the fall Ohio rally, please post on the forum. I keep checking the FROG site and it just says details soon. We need to make our vacation plans and want to include the rally but without details or contact info there isn't much we can do. We don't want to save the vacation time off or make reservations if this rally isn't really going to take place.

Thanks, but we should be on our summer site by June 3. We are looking for deals on the fall rally at Mohican Adventures campground. The spring rally sounds nice though.

Why not post your own Topic under Rallies for Fall events?

You will get better responses by starting your own topic. Instead, it's going to be buried under this one. Good Luck!
