Seminars / Discussions at the FROG Rally
We want to make the FROG Rally as fun, as useful, and as informational as we (reasonably) can to everyone attending. As part of that we will be offering seminars and discussions on various topics.
I'm setting up a poll to get your ideas on some of the items that you might like to see. These topics are only a starting point, so please feel free to leave comments suggesting others. You may vote for more than one topic.
If you have an area of expertise and would like to lead a discussion that would be great. For example, a professional photographer in the group has offered to lead a seminar on photography tips.
As with the "Traveling Together to Goshen" thread, please keep it relatively serious so that we can get some good suggestions to make the rally as good as it can be. We can't guarantee that we'll be able to do everything, but we'll do our best.
Thanks!

How to troubleshoot common problems for newbies!
Slide not working, propane not flowing, water heater not heating, etc.
What would be REALLY awesome would be the chance to try driving/parking various types of RVs out in a big parking lot. Answer the question, could I be comfortable stepping up to that motorhome, fifth, or longer trailer? How different is the feel betwwen a DP and a gasser? I would pay for that, LOL!

And maybe tours
Great idea on discussions, I voted on what I would find useful. Not to hijack the thread, but would also be interested in tours that are planned. For instance, definitely want to see the FR plant and also interested in the Coachman plant (yes, they are part of FR!). Can you post what is planned so far and some other maybes so we can express our interest? Thanks for all you do!!!

Biglou, we'll be setting up plant tours based, at least in part on what people are driving, work schedules, size of plants and their capability of handling groups of visitors.
I don't know if I'll remember them all of the top of my head, but last year I know we toured Rockwood, Flagstaff, Sierra, Sandpiper, r-Pod, Sportscoach, Columbus Dynamax, and pre-delivery inspection. There were a few folks whom we helped to line up individual visits at some of the other plants as well.

Other suggestions would be inspection of bearings, replacing and repacking wheel bearings and replacing seals and inspection and adjusting brakes.
Installing Maxxair(or other brand) vent covers.

I hope to have him again, especially after some of the plans I've been reading on the other threads.

Exterior Detailing Techniques
Have had several poeple asked me about what to use on maintaining the exterior of there RV's. There are hundreds of products on the market today and finding one line that does everything well can sometimes be a expensive. We take a lot of pride the way our rigs look when we hit the road...would be glad to share what I have...

Bob,
These are great subjects/interests - hoping to see them all at the rally, they will make great seminar topics.
One that we would like to see would be on stablizing, and not just from the "sellers" or "manufacturers" point of view. Would like to find out what people are using and what they have found to work and not work and maybe even instruction on how to put some on? (IE: side, 5th wheel pin, automatic, add-ons, etc)
Another we would like to attend would be Mor/ryde's talk. Last year we sat through it and the people who were giving it totally got blasted by the audience about issues that they had with the products. All the time alloted was spent trying to calm the audience down that there was no time for discussing actual parts/services that they offer.
Thanks again for setting all these events up. Looking forward to attending!

More on tours
Bob,
Thanks for the tour info and it looks like others are interested also. I did notice that all of the products you mentioned are towables and wondered if motorhomes were left off the list intentionally or just by omission. I'm specifically interested in motorhomes and hope there will be an opportunity to visit plants where they are made?

goshen frog rally
Talked to the husband about it today. Told him how fun it would be, nicely packaged with meals, tours, lectures, repair. Not too far from us, etc.
The husband voted it down because we are seasonal and pulling off means re-leveling on the blocks, etc., etc., ....Whatever!!!! LOL
Can we come in a tent if we show proof of ownership of a FR product? We own a 2006 Cherokee 30f. I'm not too spoiled I can't tent camp now and then.
