St. Augustine Fountain of Youth Tour -- January 21-26, 2014

Registration is now open on the FROG website

St. Augustine Fountain of Youth Tour

January 21-26, 2014

Join FROG to kick off the New Year in beautiful and historic St. Augustine, FL!

Ponce de Leon came 500 years ago, looking for the Fountain of Youth. He found Florida, and claimed it for Spain, and much of that heritage still lingers.

As soon as you cross the Bridge of Lions you know you're some place special. From the imposing Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the country, to the graceful spires and floor-to-ceiling Tiffany glass windows of Flagler College; from the distinctive striped lighthouse on Anastasia Island to the Oldest House Museum; from alligators to art, St. Augustine has something for everyone.

Come join us in the oldest permanent European settlement in the United States. Escape to the warm sun, beautiful beaches, rich history, and stunning architecture of Florida's east coast. View the skyline as you enjoy a cruise on the schooner Freedom.

And while you're there, just maybe you can re-capture some of your youth.

Your St. Augustine adventure includes:
  • 5 nights of full hookup camping at Stagecoach RV Park, just five miles from downtown St. Augustine
  • Welcome Dinner
  • Three (3) Continental Breakfasts
  • Farewell Dinner
  • Private cruise on the schooner Freedom
  • FROG overview tram tour of historic St. Augustine
  • Multi-day tram ticket for touring on your own, including free admission to:
    • Old Jail
    • Oldest Store Museum Experience
    • St. Augustine History Museum
    • Fountain of Youth
    • Lightner Museum
    • Oldest House
    • Oldest Wooden School House
    • Spanish Military Hospital
Join us in St. Augustine at the Fountain of Youth for great fun with old and new friends. You'll feel like a kid again!

NOTE: Because of space limitations in the campground and on board the schooner Freedom, this trip is limited to 20 RVs or 40 people, whichever comes first.

Love to go to this as St. Augustine is on our must do list - but probably can't due to work. :-(

Well, we had such a good time at the Charleston Rally - we've decided to forget "obligations" and have signed up for St. augustine! See you in Jan!

I'm sure you will get one soon. Bob and Cindy haven't been back to the office yet, probably. They just completed the Charleston rally yesterday. And I found out it is just them doing it all. They don't have an assistant!

I figured something of the sort - that they were traveling. However, I'd think they would check the email and see that I had submitted my application. Anyway - just hoping we got in.

Emailed Bob separately and asked if he'd received our application. He responded this AM. So, Yes, we're in... Yayyy. And you were right DebbieMH... they're still on the road. So any who have snail-mailed their application probably won't hear back until this week some time.

Thanks for the patience. We've stayed in Charleston for Thanksgiving with our son and his family before we head to the RVIA Dealer Show in Louisville, then back home. (Note to self: 2 to 5 inches of snow there today.)

We've been receiving updates on mail registrations for Baton Rouge and St. Augustine to go along with the e-mail registrations we've received. Neither trip is filled, although they're both getting close. We'll send confirmation as soon as we get back, but if you've already sent in a form, either by e-mail or by snail mail, you can plan on being in.

Any news on this rally. We have sent in the registration but haven't heard anything. Sorry I don't want to bother anyone as I know its a busy time of year. We just need to make our plans and reservations for the rest of the time we are in FL. Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting someplace warm.

Phil, we just got back in the office yesterday from Charleston and Louisville. We have your registration, and will start sending out confirmations this week. We'll look forward to seeing you there.

There are still about three spots left, BTW, for someone who still wants to get in.

Phil:
I had the same question couple weeks ago. I sent Bob Byrne an email... he did reply that he was traveling and taking some time off (had couple of rallies in close succession). I had sent my application in via email and he acknowledged that it had been received.

Don't know when they get around to charging the credit card, but according to Bob, I'm in! You might consider emailing him. I think you can go to the FR website and find it.

Look forward to seeing you there!
