STL to Goshen
So the last couple of years we have gone thru Chicago to go to the Goshen rally. I was looking on the map and it's only like 6 miles total distance further to go out 70 through Indy and then north.
I'm thinking about going that way this year, as Chicago is always a PITA, and besides, we are getting pretty used to the scenery that way. Anybody have a good reason why that's not a good idea?
Tim

IMO anytime you can avoid Chicago area traffic is a good idea. 6 more miles and seeing some new scenery sounds like a no brainer.

We left the Quad Cities (Iowa) and visited friends in the Anderson IN area last week. We took 15 and are sitting in Warsaw now, headed to Goshen tomorrow. Indy is congested, but not as bad as 80 around Chicago. 15 is two Lane for the most part but not a bad highway.

We are planning 70 to Indy up 31 etc when we head out tomorrow. I wouldn't risk the chicago traffic at all.
When are you guys taking off?

we are heading out at 8, so you will be 15 minutes in front of us. We will wave as we pass u on the highway (anyone with a name like Cowracer has to be going slow )
