We live in Kingwood area (Houston). I grew up in Waco, but family is from Fredericksburg/Kerrville. Spouse hails from NW Kansas, but we claim her as a Texan after 30 years.

Do you have any cooking contest planned, like a Chili Cook Off or something like that?

We are still hoping that there will be a rally in the Rio Grande Valley in January or February in time for the Rodeo season still waiting to here from the office. With the number of RV er's in the valley it would be a big one.

The problem is the parks are filled due to snow birds, that's one of the reasons it's hard to find a park that will give us a 100 r more sites.

That's why if they check with the Chamber of Commerce in McAllen & Weslaco they will work with you setting up some of the parks . But there is enough already in the area to make a good Rally

It's all we can do to do this one in October. Sounds like you should take the lead! The max at this time that we can get is 75 and at this point we have 5 spots left! There is not a doubt that we could fill a hundred spots if they were available.

The problem is most of the winter people come after Christmas and if you spend your winter in the south Canadians are only aloud to spend 180 days a year in the USA. I had mentioned this to the Frog office earlier in the year there seemed to be a great deal of interest in being able to offer the rodeo as part of the valleys winter fun .But not all the parks fill up over the winter but like I said there is so many RVer's in the valley you would have a full house for every event also the RV dealers would probably jump at the chance to get involved. Also the town of Progress Mexico is only 10 miles away and is very safe to go over to. We have been going over for 12 years and never a problem.

Hey Lori,
When you put out the itinerary next week, please put " weather permitting" next to the Lost Maples hike. If I can get off work we hope to come in on Tuesday then go explore Lost Maples on Wednesday. Do you usually have a pot luck Tuesday's.

Just purchased a lexington 283gts and wanted to know if the Rallys and trade show vendors really offer discounts on installation of auto levelers, sway bars, satellites, etc. or is it not worth the wait if you want to add these items?

When is the date for the 2017 rally. We're hoping it isn't the same dates as Bama Ganza, as we want to go to both.... And would love to tack on a rally in Sevierville, TN.
