Texas frog Rally!
We are set up for another great rally in Kerrville Texas Oct 8-12th, plans are being made for activities, and events. Please make plans to join us in Texas for a fun time!

We were in Kerrville at the first Texas FROG Rally last year. Beautiful park, and a GREAT bunch of folks. We can't make it this year - we'll be in Iowa at the Amana Colonies FROG rally the weekend prior - and I'm sorry we'll miss it. If you get a chance to go to this rally in Texas, I'd highly recommend it. Your hosts, Lori and Dan (along with their "assistant FROGS") did a great job last year. Especially if you have never been to a rally before, this is a great one to attend.

Can't wait, we are for sure planning way more social time, I think that last night was one of my favorites, due to getting to sit down and talk! And of course listen to AF stories that put some of us to sleep!! Lol!

Well, now what do I do?
Like Capt. Mike, we have reservations for the Iowa FROG the week before.
Not sure we could do both. Kerrville is a lot closer.
Thinking better chance for good weather 800 miles further south.
How big is the group?
What is the campground?
Do we make reservations directly.
We would be first timers no mAtter which way we go.

It is Lori and Dan's party, so maybe I should let them answer. We were just fortunate enough to be passing through Texas on a trip last fall and caught the rally, and what a great time we had.
Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, is one of the nicest campgrounds that Yvonne and I have been in. That alone would have made it worthwhile, but the 75 or so couples that were there made it even better and the food...oh, the food...
I'm guessing it will be at least 75 units again this year.
Yes, call the campground and make your reservations, then let Lori know that you are coming.
We've been to Texas two Octobers in a row, so we're gonna' go check out our neighbors in Iowa this October. Besides, who doesn't like a good German beer festival?
Whatever you decide, Texas or Iowa, I'm willing to bet you'll have fun and I know you'll meet some GREAT FOLKS!

About 70 units last yr. excepting about the same, the camp ground is awesome! 2 pools, hot tub, dog park, we get the use of a lg. meeting room, we had Ron Hoover that came and answered question for us, this is our first yr. to have our unit, so we r newbies! Would love to meet you guys! If you choose to come just call BHL Resort, then email us so we have a way to keep you up dated on events.

Don't forget, if when you make reservations for the Texas Kerrville rally , at Buckhorn Lake resort, email us and let us know, also I'm waiting for BLR, to let me know if the Shenandoah music group will be with us on Fri. Night. It would be a show and dinner. Let me know if you would be interested!!

Unfortunately we had to cancel on going to Kerrville last year for what I thought was going to be knee surgery (ended up getting lucky and avoiding it), but everyone I've heard from talks about what a fantastic time it was.
Dan and Lori were nice enough to join us for dinner in San Antonio on our "Waltz Across Texas" tour a few weeks ago. What a wonderful couple, and they're looking forward to hosting another great event in Kerrville.
FROG will be pitching in to help where we can again this year. You won't want to miss it. Be sure to check out the Admiral Nimitz WWII Museum in Fredericksburg while you're in the area. Oh, and the sandwiches and ice cream at Clear River Diner and Bakery just a couple of blocks down the street, where we got box lunches on one of our tour days.

I have never been to a rally...in fact just purchased our shamrock this last november. we will have 3 kids by that time...3, 1.5, and 2 almost 3 month old. is this more of an adult social or will the kids enjoy it as well. I hope we can come. we dont know anyone in F.R.O.G

Hi....
Just wanted to let you know that my wife Tommie and I wii be attending the rally in October. I've already contacted Buckhorn RZ Resort and made reservations. We will be arriving on the 7th and leaving on the 12th. We have a Berkshire and will be pulling a toad. Look forward to meeting everyone...
