My wife is deaf but has a cochlear implant, so I can relate. She relies 80% on lip reading and wont sit around the camp fire because she cant see.
This will not stop us from attending a rally. Count me in next year, it will be our first.

The Tadpole was our second rally, and although it was cool and damp we loved it and it has that rubber band effect, it just keeps pulling you back. I'd go to all of them if I could, never been to any that were the same even when you go back there are different people and familiar face all the time.

We've been to 9 rallies and have 1 more scheduled (Amana) for this year. We look forward to each and every one! I've met some great friends during these rallies. Several of us have signs hanging in our rigs that read "Here's to the nights, that have become mornings, with the friends, that have become family", and nothing could be closer to the truth.

Not quite, 2016 spring Amish rally. We met a very nice couple there, sorry I don't remember their names. They had their Rpod parked beside us. I made a rookie mistake and was short 6 inches to hook up to electric... And we left the 30 amp extension cord at home. They saved the day by letting us borrow their cord.

When I told him about the fun and friendship of the Frog group he had asked to come and so he has now experienced his second rally, and as we drove home we got to talking about it and how first impressions could really make someone feel welcome.
This got me thinking about our first meeting with Bob and Joyce Ebenreck when Mary and I went to our first rally all the way from London Ontario to Branson Missouri and not really knowing what to expect, Bob and Joyce were the hosts of that rally and our first introduction into the Frog group, there we were not knowing what to expect and I can say I am very very glad we took that first hop.
I've been to many rallies since then and continue to meet really nice people and this got me wondering about your first impression was it good, great or maybe the next one will be better, I have yet to experience a rally that that I have not felt I had a great time at.
The old buddy is toying around the idea of buy a Forest River product so he can go to more rallies, so he has also felt that first impression good feeing.
After attending the first FROG rally in Goshen in 2012 we had so much fun we hosted a Branson rally in 2013. We’ve since attended every Goshen rally along some of the other rallies.

We had a great time hosting the Branson rally and Don (DDC) really immersed himself in the Ozark hillbilly culture. Sorry Don, I had to post this picture of you.

I find he is "culturally flexible". Why, in this picture alone, I see 3 or possibly 4 cultures represented...

I do like to have a good time, and I do live in a multicultural country, pity there is no sound in the second photo my phone was ringing and the ring tone is bagpipes

Have now been to 3 FROG rallies and enjoyed all of them, great people at all. I'm beginning to think that a good camping plan is to go from one rally to the next!

Great topic! We've now been to four rallies. Florida frog was our first in 2016 followed by the infamous BamaGanza in Gadsen, AL. I met some of the best people at this rally that I have ever met in my life. It was so easy with these folks. So much so that when we pulled into the Georgia Peach Rally in June, at least seven new friends from BamaGanza descended on our trailer and helped with setup....well they tried! Great seeing these folks again. Just got back from the Solar Eclipse rally - yet another great time! Looking forward to seeing my Rally friends again @ Bamaganza in October. I absolutely love this stuff.

We attended the very first FROG event, the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC in April 2012. Since then, we have been to probably 10 or a dozen FROG events, and Bob and Cindy have become like family.

1St FROG Raally Branson MO. May 2011

Here is a group picture of the Original 14 families that started FROG in May 1-4, 2011 Branson MO.
No registration fees and we had a blast. It was sponsored and we got free food, drink and had a wonderful time being none of us have met each other before.
You may recognize a few people in the group.

I was one of them.
