Where Will FROG Be in 2018?

WHERE WILL FROG BE IN 2018?

So far we're planning rallies, trips, and tours in 14 states and 4 Canadian provinces, but there will be more. We're publishing details on the "Events" page of the FROG website, and hope to see you down the road at some of our FROG events!

Tom, we want to do something in OR, WA, or BC. We've done several rallies in OR, but I learned that those had been essentially a single-brand event, advertised, promoted, and pretty much filled on a specific brand forum before being added to the FROG calendar. We don't do that, and I've declined to support it next year since the same thing was being done.

I'd be happy to work with someone in hosting an event in the Pacific Northwest (or Southwest, in the case of BC).

Thank you for all you do, Bob, to support our rallies. You help us advertise and spread the word, as well as provide us with a catered bbq dinner. Those who attend our annual Florida Fall Fest certainly appreciate everything you do!!!

You're welcome, Sheryl, and, more important, thanks for all that you and other hosts do to make the events so successful. Believe me, I have an idea of what goes into the preparation.

Before joining Forest River, Cindy and I organized and hosted the annual Coachmen Owners' Association Missouri State Rally and quite a few local rallies for eight years, strictly a volunteer gig.

Throw in some Gooey Butter Cake and Ted Drewes, and you've covered all of the basic food groups.

Yes, there will. I've been talking with Gary and Joyce, and there will probably be a couple of small changes, but plan on the same location, Rising Sun, IN, and the same date, first weekend in May.

I gave been watching the events page for the Tadpole Rally announcement. Is it ok to call the campground and get reservations?

We are registered for the Spring Amish Country Rally in Ohio already. We are happy to help at Tadpole or the Spring Rally if needed.

Little Farm on the River has asked us not to have people call yet. We'll post the information when they're ready to take reservations.

It is impressive to see such a wide variety of rallies. A lot of work goes into organizing each one. Thank you rally organizers for everything you do! For those interested in hosting one, it is a fun rewarding experience. You do get support and if you have save friend who organized a previous one, they are great resources to bounce questions off of.

on edit: Bob I don't know how you and Cindy have enough time to help with all of these rallies, even if you don't attend all of them.

I wish it were possible to attend all of them. For 2017 we'll have attended:
  • FROG Florida Dinner, Tampa, FL
  • Tampa RV Show (actually, got there but had to leave because of my broken knee)
  • FROG-toberfest, Amana, IA
  • Holiday Festival of Lights, Charleston, SC
  • Eclipse Rally, Sweetwater, TN
  • October in the Ozarks, Eureka Springs, AR
  • Georgia Peach Rally, Helen, GA
  • FROG / Forest River Weekend, Seffner, FL
  • Ohio Amish Spring FROG Fest, Mount Eaton, OH
  • Tadpole Rally, Rising Sun, IN
  • Texas FROG Roundup, Kerrville, TX
  • FROG International Rally, Goshen, IN
(Events in bold are those that we actually organized in full. On the others we worked with the organizers as described below.)

We helped to organize, make arrangements, publicize, or provide meals and/or prizes for:
  • Bama-Ganza, Gadsden, AL
  • California, Dreamin', Hemet, CA
  • Cannon Beach Blast, Cannon Beach, OR
  • Chenango, NY Mini-Rally, Chenango, NY
  • Finger Lakes Rally, Watkins Glen, NY
  • Florida Fall FROG-Fest, Williston, FL
  • Gettysburg Gathering, Gettysburg, PA
  • Kingston, ON FROG Festival, Kingston, ON
  • Mr. Jefferson's Monticello, Charlottesville, VA
  • Ohio FROG Fall Fest, Lebanon, OH
  • Canada's Victorian Oil Town, Petrolia, ON
  • FROG Tucson Dinner, Tucson, AZ
  • Bryce Canyon Adventure, Bryce Canyon, UT

Aside from those 25 events (I hope I've not missed any), along with the Dealer Expo, working the Owner Relations Line, answering questions and dealing with issues as membership increased by about 18,000 member families this year, it's been fairly quiet.

Gary, the Charleston River Dogs minor league baseball team has a "Take Your Dog to the Dogs Night" once or twice a year, letting you bring your dog to attend the game and be in the stands with you. Early in his career with the Charleston PD, Jim worked some off-duty security jobs at the ballpark, including for that event. He said he'd never seen so much sniffing, growling and poop in his life.

Not every idea is a good idea.

Absolutely! We've been to Mackinac Island in 2014 and to Frankenmuth in 2016. Are you thinking of any place in particular?

RJ, you missed the top half of the post, where I listed the 12 that we attended this year. Helen and Amana are there, along with 10 others. We had a ball at both (all, actually) or them!

Here's the whole post:
