Who Isn't Going To The Goshen Rally ?

Forgot to mention that our family includes a couple CZNs, an aunt/uncle or two, and at least 1 red headed step child. [emoji44][emoji23][emoji16]

We really do enjoy the smaller FROG rallies. Going to Kerrville, TX and BamaGanza this year. And as we did last year we might stumble across another one.

In response to the original post- no, we are not going. Gave it some thought a couple years ago but; it doesn’t really sound like our “cup of tea”. Too many people jammed into what sounds like a crowded field. If we need repairs, we either do them ourselves or find a reputable technician. We do participate in smaller rallies and have found them to be very rewarding.

The distance is 650 Miles one way from our home so that wasn't a huge factor in our decision we decided that we were going to plan a longer solo trip this year in lieu of trying to attend the Goshen rally.

My feelings are somewhat mixed since I never attended a FROG Rally although we are going to go to the FROG rally at Mayberry in July to see what it is like and possibly attend the one in Florida in October.

Just curious to know if I was the only one on the fence about attending for whatever reasons and decided not to ? Or if FROG Rallies aren't everyone's cup of tea ?
We have been to Goshen twice. Very nice, but we are not going. Went to Mayberry before and again this time. Had a great time the first time. You wont miss seeing me there. My handle is the clue!

It's about 3300 miles for us, and since we are so close to having a 10 year old fiver, it is of no use to try and take a spot from someone with a new rig. Might be fun sometime to go to a rally someday since the wife just retired! Of course there are lots of places we would like to go

We attended in 2013 I believe. It's a 2000 km round trip for us. We found it big and crowded then and it's grown a lot since. We prefer a bonfire in a quiet Provincial Park. I hope all of those attending have a great time.

I would like to go and hope to go in 2019 but I don't really have any work that needs done. I have a few questions and concerns but nothing that pressing.

We are going to Sturgis this year and I left next year open to see if I could even get a ticket.

Goshwn Ralley

We won't be there! We are headed to meet up with old friends at the early October Frog Rally in Indiana!,then on to N VA. We haven't been to any FROG Rallies yet! We have made 2 West to East Coast and Back trips twice since Fall 2015 in our 2016 FR Forrester MBS Diesel! We aren't full timers but like the cross country trips and our oldest daughter and her family live in Manassas, VA! We can park our 25 footer with full slide in their driveway, hook up water and electric! Dump at Manassas Battle Field RV Park for $10.00. Everyone has nighttime privacy and quiet space! It's like taking a condo with us for 2 months. But I digress! Dan & Gerda

Amen! As one of the 5 in the family, I never dreamed I'd meet such good people, become so close so quickly and that we'd all remain that way 4 years later. When I attended the 2014 Rally, we were apprehensive about what we were getting into. Driving from SC to IN wasn't a weekend trip and required some planning and taking a large chunk of vacation. We both loved the entire trip, from start to finish!! Meet some of the best friends and people you could meet and have been disappointed each year that we can't make it back. Spouse is in education as an Assistant Principal and each year since 2014 the event has been moved further into the year making it impossible for us to attend. Maybe one day! Until we return to Goshen, we keep each other updated in our lives and plan trips when we can all meet. I love each of them dearly and as Aquaman said, "there is nothing I wouldn't do for any of them". For those that are attending, may you find the same kind of people and build the same kind of friendships!!

I don't get on the forum much anymore because life has me running in a thousand different directions. But, I miss seeing many of the people I met that first year, WitchDr, Herk, Sye, dblr, OC, Frog Bob,CZNEdy, YooRoo,and I know I am missing several. ONE DAY, I'll see you there. Until then

Glad to be back on. If you head this way, try and give me as much notice as possible. I'm on the road a good bit. Last couple times CZNEDY has come by I have been unavailable. Good to hear from you!

My Dynamax DX3 is a 2015 model so, NO service for me

With 800+ miles to drive, the total cost easily tops $1000. I just can't justify spending that much if I can't get anything serviced.
