"X" Marks the Spot: Xenia, OH Rally September 19-22

“X” Marks the Spot when FROGs gather September 19-22 in Xenia, OH.

Members will enjoy three nights of camping at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Xenia with water and electric service provided. Restrooms, showers, and a dump station are also available on the fairgrounds.

Plans include a hamburger and hot dog welcome meal with potluck sides on Thursday, a catered dinner on Saturday, and a continental breakfast on Sunday.

Xenia is close to great attractions, including the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton. The facility houses one of the largest aviation collections in the world. The Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park and the Wright Brothers National Memorial are nearby.

For the activity-minded there are Clifton Gorge and John Bryan State Park for hiking, along with five converted “rails-to-trails” bike trails that begin or pass through Xenia. Clifton Historic Mill sits at the edge of the Little Miami River Gorge.

For those with a sweet tooth, Young’s Jersey Dairy is famous for its ice cream.

R. J. and Judy Studley will be hosting this event. For reservations, call Ester at the fairgrounds at (937) 372-8621 any Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Let her know that you’re with the FROG Rally. The camping fee is $30 / night.

Once you’ve made your reservation, please call R. J. and Judy at (937) 768-9121, or send them an e-mail at rstudley@woh.rr.com to let them know that you’ll be there.

Trying to work this into our schedule. Sounds like a good time and fairly close to home.

60 miles north in Jackson Center, OH is the Airstream factory. I understand that free factory tours are available Monday - Friday at 2pm.

Would be fun to see them made.

I'd much rather come to the FROG Rally in August and see Forest River units being built.

I would also, but there is only so much we can do this summer. I plan to get there next year.

We will do the Airstream tour on our way to Fireworks Over the Falls.

We most likely will be there. We usually go down to ride a few sections of the Little Miami trail every year. Xenia station is a hub for the trail system. We like to stop and watch the drag strip on the connector trail going over Dayton. We are very familiar with the trails in the area so If any one needs any info let us know.

Youroo, Any plans yet for the Spring Tadpole rally yet? Val was caught last week toilet papering the neighbors. Is this going to hurt her clearance into the group?

X marks the spot weekend rally was wonderful. RJ and Judy were excellent host's who worked extremely hard to make sure all had a good time. A total of twenty rigs met in Xenia, OH for a interesting and relaxing weekend. Saturday RJ also gave everyone a free RV wash.
