I tired out the solar system for the first time this week at Mule Days in Bishop. Ca. The system is a resounding success and I was able to keep the battery charged with a 100 watt solar panel.

A fairly easy task in a place with sun and if you aren't running the microwave or coffee pot a lot. Or a refrigerator.

Ran the refrigerator. I don't use a microwave even at home. We make coffee with a propane stove. I have 2 panels but did not even need the second one. Cold weather and clouds with some snow in the higher elevations.
