Good Lord!
Am I glad I missed all that!
Note: No power or water hookups either. Just a piece of lawn shared with 650 of my closest friends.
I have to admit, camping in some of your out of the way spots looks great!

THIS!! Nothing like getting far away with a big group of friends, cranking up the music, having some adult beverages, riding the bikes, and throwing some horseshoes!!

handbuilder, yes that looks very similar to where we camp most of the time! We actually drive through Spokane once a year on our way up to camp north of Coeur 'd Alene

Camping in CDA is great! We enjoy the area as well as Sandpoint, Riley Creek and Ponderay areas. My photos were taken at a nearby fishing spot by the dam...we sure have lots of dams around here! There is a private resort up the road that many people camp at and a couple state campgrounds a few miles of each other...Ive never been to them because they are pretty much in my backyard, so they hold no appeal for 'escape'...I might as well set up in my backyard. Haha We camped at Clear Lake and sure enjoyed the brief escape...people were surprised to hear we drove 30 miles down the road when we live where we do.

Commenting from the "flats" in Mississippi.
How do you know that you can get your truck and camper up those roads and find a suitable site to camp? Do you go up with just the truck on the initial visit, ask rangers, or other campers?
I can see us up some dirt road with our 30' toy hauler and realize we are in deep trouble with no place to turn around.
Great pictures!

Not to hijack the thread but I was wondering if there is a website that lists placed to boondock? I live in upstate NY and I would think there would be places in the Adirondack where you could do this. Just not sure how to search for it.
Keep the pics coming!

I've looked, and there is only a few places in the NE that are truly public land. In the Adirondacks there are only 2 places, both are for horses. I can't remember the names, but they're east of Watkins Glenn I think.
