Extended season package
I have a 2017 36ft heritage glen 5th wheel. It says extended season package on the panel next to the entrance. My "dealer" could not tell me what that meant. Help

more than likely just a marketing term, maybe a little more insulation... but not quite 'four seasons'.

Yep, at best, it's a 3 season trailer.

I saw something like this at Hershey last fall on a 5th-wheel...not sure of the make, though. I think it was called a "Polar Package". IIRC, the salesperson said the package included higher R-value insulation, heated underbelly, a higher output furnace and (maybe?) heated holding tanks.
Not sure that's the same on a Heritage Glen. Might you give the HG offices a call?

Your correct, I have the polar package and it is higher R value (R38 in floor and ceiling, R18 in walls and R11 in the slides), heated underbelly, and 12 volt tank heaters. It works well (have camped down into single digits several times) however it is not a true 4 seasons option for full time living.

I am thinking about getting tank heaters...during the time of year that they would be utilized I would be at hunting camp boon-docking . I would generally only using generator for charging my 4 6 volt batteries while watching some TV in the evening...Are they thermostatically operated? I don't imagine they would need to operate all the time as only need to be 33 degrees in the tanks? I am mainly concerned about battery conservation. I would love to be able to use my inside plumbing as taking outside showers in sub 20 temps gets old...as does the outdoor privy in the AM!!!!!
Thanks in advance for any comments!

I was wondering the same thing about a built in thermostat. My 2019 Geo Pro came with tank heaters, but haven't tried them yet. This weekend it is going to be around freezing in Rocky Mountain National Park so I'll test it out.
This one on etrailer says it has a built in thermostat.
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Fresh-Wa...77-000164.html
Description says:
Built-in thermostat automatically operates the heater pad
Turns on when the tank or step temperature reaches 45 degrees F
Turns off when the tank or step temperature reaches 67 degrees F
Seems like those temps are really high though. Not sure I would want the heater to warm the water up to 67 degrees F.

On my 2019 Sunseeker 3010DS, the Arctic Pkg has the better insulation, heated under belly (which means one extra furnace vent dumps into the area), and 12VDC immersion heaters for the tanks. They are thermostatically controlled, and will only work below 40 degrees. I think leaving them on would be a considerable drain on the batteries, without solar to keep them topped off. Living here in Idaho, I will be able to speak more on the issue about September!

A marketing ploy. nothing more then cheep cloroplast enclosing the bottom of trailer and a heat vent cut into the underbelly. My heritage glen doesn't even have tank heaters and I have the same sticker.
