Fuel Storage Capacity

I'm a complete newb to RVing and I haven't even purchased my rig yet. I'm seriously consider getting a 2014 Forest River 24R but I had a question about the specs. Everything that I've pulled up says that theres a 26 gallon diesel capacity and then a storage capacity of 482 gallons. What is the 482 gallons referring to? Is there a 482 gallon reserve full tank or is that how much water the entire RV will hold?

It would help if you posted the brand name of your RV, instead of the the corporate FR name.
FR has almost 100 different brands under its umbrella and more than one brand has a 24R model.

I do not know of a MH or rv that has that kind if capacity unless you'd add fresh water, grey water, black and fuel. 🤔

That is total storage capacity. Nothing to do with fuel or liquids.

This says FW = 41 gal, gray and black are both 30 gal.

No mention of fuel capacity.

That's storage capacity of storage on the outside compartments. Not fuel, black, gray, or fresh tanks.

OK, I think this is either a typo or an inaccurate conversion. It appears the OP may have gotten the 482 gal number from this link:

Full Specs for 2014 Forest River Solera 24R RVs | RVUSA.com

Here's a 2014 brochure. There's no 482, gallons or otherwise, quoted anywhere.

https://www.mhsrv.com/pdfs/brochures...a-brochure.pdf

However, it does say that outside storage is 75 cu ft.

If you do the math, 75 cu ft = 561.039 gallons, which isn't too far from 482 in the first link. So maybe it was an inaccurate conversion, but why anyone would list outside storage in gallons is beyond me.
