I've got the non remote start 3100 champion unit. Bought it at the start of 2015 camping season and use did throughout the year, roughly 30 nights of camping. I secure it with a long braided steel lock cable to the tongue or bumper of my trailer so I can roll it underneath when raining or leaving camp (generator off of course).
It runs my 13.5 AC without a hard start capacitor, although I'll probably add one this year. It will run my ac, fridge, and TV with the switch in the economy mode at just slightly less than full throttle. Inside the camper with the AC on, you can't hear the generator with it 5ft from the trailer. It starts in one or two pulls, has nice wheels (but obly for hard surfaces, they don't work on gravel or dirt). Also has nice handles for lifting and fits nicely inside the bed of my pickup with my other gear. I've run it in the mountains of Idaho in freezing temps and it ran without a hiccup powering a satellite dish, receiver, and rv plus powering the trailer inverter and associated electronics.
I highly reccomend it, remote start might have been nice but it adds weight I wasn't willing to deal with for a little added convenience. Although it would be nice to fire it up to make coffee in the morning without going outside in the cold, but that just reminds me I'm camping.
