I have a 5000w Gen. I have 50amp service can I plug into the genny and run 1 of my a/c unit with any problems?ill it hurt the a/c unit?

Your golden. At least for 1 of your A/C's. Just be aware that you on your genset and limit additional heavy loads. Ie., hot plate, microwave, blow dryer, etc.
Tomdice, the adapter shown is only to be plugged into 120 volts ac 30 amp receptacle and not in 240 volts ac on your generator as it will damage your TT electrical.

I heard that someone rewired the 240 on his gen to use it as a 50amp for his fiver. Don't know much about electric but I think it would not be to hard for the right guy. Just a thought.
