Great weekend boondocking

Had a great long weekend boondocking with friends in the mountains. Headed up Thursday after work and came home this evening. It was the first real test of the new Tundra and it pulled like a dream even up the steep grades and washed out forest roads. Friday morning we got to watch an eagle fly up the up the valley and the trout were biting. The temperatures were cool during the day and cold at night and we had a constant wind that gave us all a nice windburn. I love a peaceful weekend in a campground as much as anybody but to me this is what camping is all about!

Very nice! Fly, spinner, spoon, or bait for the trout?

It sure was a nice place. Will be heading back there soon. I caught all of those on powerbait or trout eggs.

Now that's my kind of camping. This is right up our alley this is exactly what we try to do. All those views are great and the fish must have tasted great. I to have a tundra and can't wait to go on my first trip with it.
