Get a micro air easystart and you can easily run your AC on a 2k generator. It's a beautiful thing.

If so, it would have to be installed by the a/c manufacturers, not FR.

I bet a salesman told you that... if his lips were moving then he was lying.

I thought I read it on this forum actually. I bought used and I know the sales guy knew less about my trailer that I did...because I did my research here first!

I agree, a small inverter generator is all you will need per your specs. You will not need to run it very much either. Inverter generators are quieter than other generators.

I must not understand posting! I replied to a different thread!

i THINK YOU REPLIED TO POST #1 and your post shows up at the bottom of other replies to that post in chronological order. Same thread just the second last post now.

hankyk there is a lot of good information in this thread. A couple of things to consider when buying a generator:
1. There is a good chance that you will want more power than you think you need right now. Like wanting to run the a/c. Make sure that any inverter generator has the ability to parallel with another unit i.e. 2 2000 watt models or get a bigger generator now. Some people love the light weight of 2 small ones while others don’t want to run/maintain 2engines.
2. Inverter generators are usually noise rated at 25% load. At full power they are not that much more quiet than an open frame type. At a 1000watt load a bigger generator will be running slower than a small one. A Champion 3500 watt inverter putting out 1000watts is running at about 31% load where a typical 2000/1600 watt inverter generator is at about 62% load. The engine won’t be throttled up near as much at 31% as it will be at 62% load.
3. Having a remote start would be pretty nice on a cold morning to get coffee maker started ( our generator doesn’t have remote start). Some people like the option of dual fuel to use propane or gasoline. With propane there is no need to Carr gas cans or change carb jets for high altitudes. Jay

And the Champion 3500 weighs in at about 100 lb. Far lighter than the 130+ lb of, say, a Yamaha 3000. And the Champion 3500 can be had in dual fuel... gasoline or propane. Use either one. A 20# propane tank will last about 14.5 hrs. On a tank of gas, about 7.5 hrs. That is at about 1/4 load.

It has tow handle and wheels, so that would help in moving it. Just the lifting to store it could be a problem depending on one's ability. But it is a killer unit for the price.

The largest size inverter generator I found at Firman website was a 3000 watt inverter.

Also, I couldn't find the generator you mentioned on costco's website.

Can you provide a link?

I believe that it's an open frame contractor-style generator and very noisy.

That's as loud as the Champion 4000 open frame contractor-style non-inverter generator that costs less than $300.
And it's WAY too noisy for a campground.

How do I know? I own one for house backup power.

The OP is asking for help on an inverter generator to use in a campground.

That generator is NOT an inverter generator and NOT appropriate for use in a campground.
