I got this last month and have been super pleased thus far.....Quiet and was able to run 2 fridges on AC, my microwave, and my 13.5 Air Conditioner simultaneously. I really didn't expect it would be able to do so. At that time I paid $594 haven't found any other inverter with comparable specs for that price point.
I just got the costco version of this, I think it is a 3200 w 2900w running version. Literally 100 watts less on their memorial day special sale for $499 with free shipping.

By far the best deal out there.

I just bought a used Briggs & Straton P3000. Only 15 hours on it and cost me $650. It purrs like a kitten. I have not taken it camping yet, but plan to boondock a lot this winter in the south.

I have tested my AC and it only pulls about 50% along with a few lights on inside. I figure it the gas will last 4 or 5 hours at that draw. Long enough for me to fall asleep! haha

Seriously, I think this little beast is going to be fine for our use. And it starts first pull, everytme!

I did purchase the Micro Air and installed on my 13.5 AC. Tested it at home and the AC did run with the one Honda eu2000i and also ran AC with one Generac 2200. Dry camped at 7000 feet the following week and found that neither the Honda or Generac would run the AC which I assume is due to loss of power at higher elevation. I'm on the hunt for a second 2000 with a parallel kit and curious if the existing Honda can be paralleled with another brand? I have read the entire thread and really prefer not to have to lift a 100 pound gen-set if it can be avoided so the 3500 are out...

Thanks!

Tim

I have/use a Honda EU2000i and companion EU2000i hooked together with parallel cables. The provide all the electrical power needed to run my camper, including the A/C unit.
They ALWAYS start and run. Also being two units, easier to lift/move and small so don't take much space for storage. And can use just one for other projects around home, when needed.
The Bergs system provides long run fuel availability....here:

Buy a Honda eu2200 COMPANION model. It comes with the 30 amp socket and will parallel with only an inexpensive wire set. The extra 200 watts will come in handy at altitude and you can use your microwave with the AC running.

The Honda will not parallel with competitors generators.

Also, because the Hondas are the only 2K generators with an internal fuel pump, it can suck fuel out of a pony tank. Get the one that will feed dual Hondas.
