Yamaha ef2000

Just picked up a Yamaha ef2000 generator today. Still a little cold to camp but, the local dealer had some, winter sale going on and thought I have been looking at them long enough. Ready for our boon docking trips this summer now. Won't have to rough it.

I have two that work together through a connector.

One started on the first pull out of the box, the other took two pulls. They are very quiet and work great.

We have two of them and the sync kit. Use just the one for the lights and fridge use both for the AC unit and lights. Use auto throttle as much as possible.

Me too.

Very quiet and fuel efficient with our AC running all night in the desert.

However, I did have to fuel up once in the middle of the night. It was pretty extreme conditions, though, in the middle of the SoCal high desert. 95 degrees at 11 pm in Ludlow in August.

Generator maintenance is apparently an art. Many schools of thought.

Fuel stabilizers (a product called 'Stabil') figure in prominently.

Good luck! I like this one guys handle on these forums; 'whathaveigottenmyselfinto' or something like that, LOL

There is a connector that they sell that plugs into both generators, and then you plug your RV power cable into that.

I also have the same EF200iS. Love them. Fuel efficient and not too loud.

There are 2 choices of connecting cables. The Parallel Power cables ($107), or the Twin Tech Cable ($243).
