Joe,

With the trailer sitting level I measured 16.5 " from the ground to the bottom edge of the hitch coupler.

Johttaylor,

"I'm in the town of La Plata, MD."

I'm familiar with the area. While stationed in DC (2000 - 2006) I lived in Fredericksburg, VA. Used to ride my motorcycle across the 301 bridge to a place called Captain Billy's Crab House. That's a nice area chock full of Colonial and Civil War history.

Thanks - I was on my phone when I tried to complete the previous message, but I have a 07 Kia Sorento which I believe I can pull the 17FQ..
Owners manual reads 5,000 lbs... I like the bed lay out and plenty of restroom space. I think it be a good first owner camper. The price is right. I was looking at a retro with the same layout and they are nice, but the price tag was 18,000....which I don't think it for me at this time. I am also looking at trailmanor but that too is $$$....

I am just trying to figure out what the MPG will look like...
