Crunchman, these pix were taken in my old trailer, but in the comparison one you can see the difference in the color, the light in the back shines almost yellow.

psaman,
Wow, Great pic to compare the light with. My 295 does seem to have "dimmer" light with the current bulbs. The LED lights in the pics do seem to be much brighter. Does the light from the LED seem to be too bright or harsh to your eyes or just makes it brighter in the camper?
Thank you for taking the time to post your pictures to help with the visual.

Too me they are not too bright, plus the lens cover takes the shine off somewhat also. I especially find them easier to read by, in bed, with the light right above your head.

psaman,
Thank you for all you help with the LED questions. I will see how it goes after our first couple of trips this year if the existing lights are too dim. I think I would start by the rockers in the rear and move forward as needed.
I just ordered my first batch of stuff for my first MODS. I will post pics when completed.

West Branch

No porblem with long trailer on some of the sites. I coudl put my 30 footer on most of the sites. These new trailer appear to be much higher off the ground so you can back them up over the end barrier...Will allow us to back up further.

Coachman will be a great unit...Almost did it (LOL). Glad you got it

My family and I go to West Branch a couple times a year. It's a very nice state park. You'll have no problem with your trailer. It's not a destination park just somewhere quick and easy when you feel like going camping and getting away for a few days. For reviews of RV parks, I recommend campgroundreviews.com. There's literally thousands of reviews on that site.

Thats a great layout! We r like u, our new to us 2011 Freedom exp is loaded and ready to roll. We are Sunline Coach loyal owners, have a 2000 23 ft here also. Had a Coachmen Chapparell in 04, then 35 ft Jayco FKS full king bed, front kitchen, now downsized to our FE 280rls. We want to hitch up and go and unload all that weight, The Jayco was 8200 lbs dry! We love the FE so far, easy to tow, aerodynamic front, and low to ground, we hope as the gas prices rise, we can keep er' rollin. Former owner stripped this model, took swivel chairs, bedspread, swapped mattress's, bedroom curtains gone, so after recouping it all on our own, we think we have a good deal. Ready to seasonal camp on the Chincoteague Island, happy campin to ya

patz,
Hi,
Welcome to the forum from another Freedom Express owner. Sounds like you have a few trailers under your belt. Hope to hear some stories and advice that you might like to share. Be sure to post some pics of your TT when you get a chance.

My wife and I just bought a carry over 2012 295 RLDS, big upgrade from our 2010 palomino puma 23fb. We just got home form our inaugural run and absolutely loved it. Our only complaint was the mattress was stupidly hard, even with our 2" memory foam and 2" in feather bed. We ended up spending last night on the air bed under the couch. I really don't want to buy a new mattress so I might call the dealer and ask if we can trade the mattress form our old one into this one

SDCamper,
Welcome to the forum from another 295RLDS owner. Feel free to ask any model specific questions, I will try to answer them for you.
Congrats on the new 295RLDS! Would love to see some interior and exterior pics.
