2012 28dds ipod dock

we have a catalina 28dds according to brochure it has an ipod dock on the jensen awm970 well i have tried using the usb connection with my cable for my ipod nothing will play off ipod display just says usb loading
i have looked through the manual which states nothing. I emailed coachmen and they blew me off told me to call ASA who makes the jensen product before i do that i figured i would ask here

Page 14 of your manual explains how to access your iPod functions. If it is an iPhone, it is not supported.

page 14 talks about mp3/usb operation but says nothing about ipod in the jensen manual have not looked into the actual trailer manual

It is in the Jensen manual from their site, JENSEN AM/FM/CD/DVD/USB Wallmount Stereo in this one, the mp3/usb directions are page 13.

well after some more research I find that this unit does not seems to need an ipod cable

So I think I am going to contact dealer and ask if they are going to provide cable since brochure states unit has ipod dock and when asked they said yes
