2014 Apex 259BHSS

Took delivery last month. Looking forward to our maiden voyage in two weeks. We have 3 or 4 relatively local trips planned, then headed to Bar Harbor, ME with friends at the end of July. This is our first experience into the world of camping. Nervous, but excited. Was happy to find this forum as I'm sure I'm going to have lots of questions!! Hoping to be an expert before I know it!! 👍😃

Congratulations on your new purchase . I hope that you have many good times and create many good memories. Also welcome to the forum you will get a lot of information by looking through all of the forum topics. I recently purchased a liberty express and was impressed with all of the nice features Coachman had to offer. Good luck and happy camping...

Completely geeked to try it out next weekend! We have 2 boys...10 & 13...I think it will fill our needs completely.

Durango pulls it well. This is my first experience towing anything, so I have nothing to compare it to. I was surprised at how much you feel that you are towing something. Guess I should have expected it, but thought that with the Hemi it would be a bit more effortless than it feels.

Congrats to you on your new unit! Glad to see another person with the same model! Is this your first or are you changing from another TT?

That's awesome! You'll have a great time. Totally sweet unit. Not much more you need... Other than rib eyes and cold beers!!
We just sold out last tt. Fleetwood orbit 24 foot. It was an ultralight- the apex has alot more weight, but it really suits our family (Wife, three girls and our dog). Slides add alot of poundage...
Takes some getting used to the feel of the trailer and adjustment of the wdh. It all comes together!
1100 Thursday is our day- promised the 3 year old a sleepover in it that night! Can't wait!!
Enjoy your times out! Hopefully we can share our info/ knowledge of the apex!
Take care! Todd

Hey Richard!
We got it!! Long day at the dealership, but got it home no problems. Handles like a dream! Had some mean wind but had the wdh cranked up and didn't get any sway. Pretty impressed.
I can't believe how big the interior feels compared to one without slides. It's like a small apartment
So many nice features in this unit. Totally worth the upgrade. The dealership initially messed up our order so we ended up with a 2015 for the same price. Same trailer but will be nice years down the road for resale!
Where are you guys getting out to? We're doing a short trip an hour away on may long weekend. Can't wait!!
Talk to you soon

Awesome!! Congrats!! 🎉🎈🍻

We're staying pretty local our first couple of times out. We live in the northern 'burbs of Detroit...there are several KOA's within an hour or so.

Already starting to get nervous...not sure if I'll remember all the details the dealership told us. I may be sending you questions... Lol. 😜

Great looking but I would be a little concerned about the wheelbase. How does it handle the Apex?

First time towing anything, so I have nothing to compare it to. It doesn't pull it as effortlessly as I had imagined it would. But not sure how realistic my expectation was....

Congrats! So far things are good. I do have a taillight out...replacing the bulb didn't fix it, so I need to have that looked at. Otherwise very happy with it. Taking it out on our second trip this weekend!

Watch your slam latch doors. I had to adjust the catch on one of mine. Of course that can happen to any model with these on it. The lock cylinders are a bit tougher than I'd prefer. Guess that's something some graphite can take care of. Also, my gas detector broke free from the wall at the top screw. Slipped back into place and held so I could get the slide back in, but I will need a long term solution like some caulking or glue if that screw won't catch anymore.
