2016 Chaparral black tank flush

Sorry I will post pics later. It's a Chaparral Lite 29 MKS
Took our Chappy out on it's first true trip. We love the trailer!
We emptied the black tank and then the grays (One must be the kitchen and the other is the shower?). After they drained out, I went to flush the black tank.
There are two water inlets: City water on the right and the flush on the left. I was on the left. I turned on the water and it wasn't going into the system. I called the dealer and no help ("Not familiar with that model"). I sent an email to Coachman and I should have an answer next week (timing). I didn't want to start turning the valves on the panel and potentially contaminate the fresh tank. The black tank flush is a standard option on these units. Any suggestions?

Mine looks like this.

Check the check valve in the flush connection, it may be stuck.

Look behind the screen cone.

Yes.

Will not contaminate anything by turning the valves (between city/fill/use). Totally separate water inlets and systems.

The black tank flush is a standard option on these units. Any suggestions?
Check for blockage in the line where it enters the coach. Typically a check valve is put inside a bathroom vanity cabinet. You will see a couple of lines right next to each other that run up the drain pipe. These are not feeds to your sink, but the line to the black tank. A check valve (anti siphon valve) will connect the two at the top (sometimes hidden until you crawl into the cabinet). It could be stuck. Remove and clean and check as best you can.

Those are the easiest to check. If you cannot get it to work, probably warranty time.

Thanks! Of course, I have a completely different panel.
I will check out your suggestions tomorrow.

When the plastic factory check valve fails, and it will, remove it and 15' of extra hose and install a house type backflow valve found at HD or Lowes......

Could be that the factory check valve was installed backward......Mine had just started to weep, so I did what OC had done......the brass valve was necked down to existing hose size and now forgotten...

My phone died and I couldn't take the picture of the panel.

Here is the outside (Sorry i can't get it to rotate.
Is the one on the left for flushing or is it the 1/2 thread stub on the top of the panel and then I need to make an adapter for the hose connection? [ATTACH]110209

If you look at the IMG I posed above you will note a white hose/tube.

That is my Antifreeze pickup, it connects to a about a 1/2 - 3/4 inch connection.

Black water flush should be the same size as a regular water hose.

So it's the hose thread on the left on the outside. I will look for the back flow preventer and blockage in the line. No valves in the sink cabinet.

I'll ask you later about your anti freeze hook up.

We used the trailer for the 4th and we are still trouble shooting a few things. I will make a separate post!
I picked up one of the see through 90 degree turns. I had more time and I wanted to check out the flush system. I drained the black tank and then the two grey. The "body" gray tank water was darn near the same color as the "black" tank water . When I turned on the flush system with the black valve open nothing happened. For giggles, I opened the "Body" grey valve and sure enough the flush was working. The water was entering the system and exiting out the main drain line. I let it run until it was clear.
There are three valves: the far left is grey (Labeled Body),the middle is black (Labeled Liquid waste) and the far right is grey (labeled grey)
My question is did they hook it up incorrectly, labeled incorrectly and/or both???
I have an service appointment on the 12th.

They are labeled correctly. On your other post about filling the fresh tank, use the small fitting in Fords picture to fill your fresh tank. You can use the pump to suck from a container.

The body waste tank is your black tank! The liquid waste is the gray. I personally hate how they are labeled!

Thanks for the info!!!
That clears up a lot. I will re-label. I love that two of the valves are grey in color and one black (Color); however, only the far right grey valve matches the function. What's the thinking behind two smaller grey tanks? The middle (black in color) must be the kitchen and the far right must be the shower and lavatory sink (Which we didn't use this trip).

Not sure on your layout but usually it's a distance issue.. bathrooms typically have one and kitchen has the other. Typically because they couldn't get enough drop to the pipes in the distance needed.
