I have a 2013 291qbs and I notest that the axles are offset a bit. The front one sits more to the patio side than the rear. I called the dealer and he said that its part of the wide track design. I can't find anyting online about offset axles.

Wow, that is not right at all. Is the other side rear tire inset like that too or does it stick out further that the front tire? Like the axle is shifted over or does it look like they used one long and one short axle?

Either way, I have never seen that before. Maybe some others will chime in but my guess is the TT should have never passed inspection at the factory or the dealer.
Did you point that out during your PDI?

Its like It's shifted over. I purchased it from General RV in MI and had it shipped to my home in WA so I didn't inspect it. As soon as I get the paperwork to license it I'm taking it to a dealer near me. Somthing like that should be covered.

Yes, it should be covered without a doubt. Make sure the spring shackle " U " bolts that connect to the axle are tight. I have heard those do come loose. Maybe the bolts are loose and the axle slide over? Be careful to inspect before towing it.
Anyone have any other ideas?

That is definitely not right. If it were me, I am not sure I would pull it any distance at all until I got under there are looked for signs something is loose.

The axles are bolted to the springs with u-shaped bolts. If loose, the axle could do lots of weird things. Among those is twist or rotate forward or aft, which may damage your brake wires and mess up the alingment.

Really the only way to fix it is to drop the axle off the springs, align it and tighten it back up. This is not really a complicated job, but you would need a strong enough hydraulic jack to lift the trailer and then sufficient jackstands underneath to hold it up.

Rather than go to a FR dealer, I might suggest you contact FR about using a local trailer repair shop. I know my local trailer repair shop knows much more about the axles and running gear than any FR dealer I have seen. After all, that is all they do.

Not sure how handy you are regarding RV repair? Not an issue but everyone has their comfort levels.
When you get a chance, can you check the nuts on the U bolts to make sure they are tight? You really need to do that prior to towing it anywhere.
If you are not sure which bolts we are talking about, I can take a pic for you?

I will check the nuts. This thing hasn't been moved since it was delivered on Sunday. The driver did make a sharp turn into my driveway. Coachman said that could cause the offset, because of the "Wide Track Design" the axles act more independently and I should drive it strait down the road and see if that helps. I have a appt on the 14th to take it in.

You should be able to drive in circles without the axle slipping to one side.
Did you happen to send these pics to whoever you have been speaking with at Coachman so they can see what you are describing?
