292 freedom express outdoor fridge ops
Does anyone know on the 292 bhds with the outdoor kitchen, if the mini fridge is electric or gas? I can't find anything in my manuals on operation.
I am pretty sure it is only electric.

all the outdoor kitchen firdge's are 110v electric only. The doors also do not latch the way your inside RV fridge does. Not the best place to keep bottled beverages on your trip.

I am thinking about using an old seat belt. I have one like this, except it has flames.
Seatbelt Belt Buckle Dodge RAM Viper Jeep | eBay
Need to find a cool retro one and then just rivet it to the door.

I use a strap to tie around the fridge to keep it closed while traveling

I like it okay. It is the first "camper" we've ever owned. What's the saying? You don't know what you don't know??
Having had it a year now there are thing I wished it had, such as:
- A black water tank flush
- a pre installed satellite dish
- an outdoor tv built into the side
- an actual shower instead of the "midget tub/shower". I'm 6-1 and 250. Lets just say its a good thing there is a skylight in the shower otherwise I wouldn't fit.
- a convection oven
- slide out topper
- sturdier hinges on the outdoor kitchen door
- an LP direct connect for a grill
- fiberglass roof
- factory installed ladder on the back
- wish we'd selected the standard table and chairs instead of the massive u-shaped booth.
- heat pump/a.c. Here in south Texas nights are few and far between where you actually need to run a furnace while camping. My presence is a heat pump
All in all we enjoy it and it meets our needs. I love the smooth outer walls as it makes it so easy to keep clean.
Have been looking at a class c, the coachmen leprechaun 319 ds. Wish we had the cash now, but we will have to hold on to our 292bhds for a few more years.
Have you had any issues with yours??

burati1, this is our first camper also, just bought this winter, we are on our first trip right now, only problem is due to rookie campers. Here in Michigan it was mid 50's last week, now that we are on our 3 day test trip, it is high 30's low 40's. We got to campground we have a membership at and did not know the water was not yet turned on in the park. We got set up and of course, I did not want to tow with full water tank, we had no water. Had to unhook and pull up to bath house and hook up hose and fill the tank. Then park and reset up. All is good now. First night went good. Only problem with trailer was when sanitizing tank the week before, I found hose clamp on fill hose to tank leaked. Tightened clamp and all is good. On your wish list, ours is a 2013 and has the black tank flush.

Pkurek, congratulations!! Glad to hear they finally put in a black tank flush!! Ours is a 2012. If you have an outdoor BBQ kitchen, be careful leaving the door up all day if there a breeze. The crews holding the strut to the door are very small. Mine snapped last summer during a slight breeze.
Feel free to reach out to me at mronk8@yahoo.com if you have any questions on the coach. From what I can see, the 2012 and 2013 are very similar.

This will give a good estimate on how long the propane and water tank will last.

Thanks for the info and help Burati1. I will due that. paulkurek67@gmail.com.
One thing, what is your tv? My 2005 f150 screw did alright but we had 10-30mph headwind and crosswind gusts all the way to the campground. It was only 1.5 hours away. Sway control did well.
