360 IBL Heater Vent Screen

All you IBL owners out there... What vent screen do you use to cover the heater vent? Looking at the available ones on Amazon, none seem to be deep enough to cover it. I measured it at about an inch and a half. Most of them are around 1.3 or so.

That is a damn good question and I'd like to know as well. I talked with my local CW who is servicing my warranty work and they said they have them available but I have not gone any further with it to see if they do indeed have them and if so, if they will fit.

The store at the dealership tried to sell me one but it didn't fit right. Got the water heater and the fridge taken care of from Amazon but not the furnace. Let me know what they say when you get the work finished. Thanks in advance!

Can you link me to the ones you got? I have not purchased any yet and mice love to live in my she'd 10 feet from my camper.

So I was looking at the vent by the entrance door and took some measurements. It vent is actually more like 1 1/4" if you measure from camper body to end of vent. You need a 5 1/8" x 5 1/2" vent for it to sit surround the entire vent.

However, what we really only need is a screen to cover the vent holes and not the entire frame. If that's the case, this should work as it will sit along the metal edges of the current vent but covers all the holes.

Amazon.com: Camco 42150 Flying Insect Screen - WH 200: Automotive

It is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 5/16" which is more then enough depth. Reason being if it sits on the metal frame and not surround it on the camper body, you only need a little less then 1" in depth.

So you don't think we need to cover the louvers? You are probably right and that one would work. I'll try that and see.

This is what I'm referring to. The screen is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2".. Look at my measuring tape and look where 4 1/2" sits. It will cover all vent holes. The only thing I'm concerned about is that it may line up with the screws which will prevent the edge of the screen from making a tight seal against the metal.

What may work better is a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" screen if they are made. Going to search now for them.. that will cover all holes in that plate and not be affected by the screws which the one I linked you to might. I'll need to measure again tomorrow in the light to see where 4 1/2" centers on the plate.

Ahh! Your's is different. I'll take a picture and attach later. Mine is taller and has louvers above the circular outlet. Your's is a 2015 model?

Yup, mine was one of the first updated 2015 models to roll off the line back at the end of September. I had one of the first non dark front caps being built at the time.. the one that I actually ordered was being built the week after but had the older dark cap. It wasn't going to get to me in time for my trip so the factory gave me a dealer stock order that was going to be built just in time and modified the order to match what I wanted. I wonder if they changed them mid production year or if they just throw in whatever they have at the time available.

You are probably right! As buskirk21921 said in another post, the quality assurance department leaves something to be desired. No major problems so far with ours but we are keeping a good eye out for all the issues others have had and problems we had on our Vibe.

This isn't my trailer but I found a picture of what ours looks like. I think they switched to this one sometime between your's and the 2016 models.

Yep. That should get the exhaust port covered. Not the louvers though. I think mine was 4.5 x 6.75. I'll check next time I get to the storage lot. Thanks for the help!

Incase there was confusion, my link is not for the one I pictured, it is for a rectangular one that measures 4 1/8 x 7 1/2" to hopefully cover your louvers. Remeasure to be sure.
