Another try with the 292BHDS

Just got our unit back from the factory. They did some updates to the slide room floor, got rid of that damn touch screen radio in favor of a Jenson unit (much better sound I might add), replaced the water pump and some other minor fixes. I almost forgot how big this thing is! Pulls very nice behind our new to us Avalanche 2500 (see pic)! Amazing power!! lol No more 4k RPM's to make hills!! Gotta luv that 8.1 pow! Gas on the other hand.... lol Camping trip planned in two weeks. Lets hope this year goes much better then last year!!

We upgraded tow vehicle from 1/2 ton expedition el to 3/4 ton yukon xl 4wd drive and it made towing the trailer a whole new experience. No more white knuckle driving and nice and relax when we get to our destination. Gas mileage on the other is not the best but I did not buy the vehicle for the gas mileage. I will be more than glad to spend a little more at the pump for piece of mind.

First camping trip with the "fixed" unit went well, no issues at all with the unit! Now that's what's it supposed to be like!! One thing I need to ask, anyone else having issues with the low tongue height? I get a nasty bounce and the spring bars will actually hit the road at times! The unit is level with the truck when all hooked up (spring bars are as tight as I can get em). Any ideas? Also posting this in the towing section.

Try trimbrens for your tow vehicle. Or is there a way to raise the height on trailer? Maybe add a leaf on trailer suspension. I only bottomed out once when I hit some train tracks too fast. Keep us posted glad you are getting things worked out.

I replied in the other post about pictures but how high is the bottom of the tongue when your trailer is level? I think I have plenty of height.
