Apex 359bhss front marker light top of travel trailer

Have a marker light flickering on the apex 259bhss. Has anyone ever taken one of these out before? Looking to check connection or replace it.

I would think it just pops out with rubber gromet attached. Not sure cause i havnt done it yet on my 288bhs, i was thinking of it though just to make sure there were no leaks!

Wow....I have the same trailer with the exact problem. It's even the same light. My neighbor asked if it was some code but I told him I didn't think so. What a coincidence. What does it mean or how do we fix it?

That's pretty crazy!! I can't tell if the lens comes out of the grommet or the whole grommet and lens comes out of the trailer. Looks like a smear of sealer was used. I'll find out for sure this weekend. Found some online, shows as a whole unit.

Check ground connection

Pop lens off base......Check that bulb is securely in socket......check ground......If all that fails remove base and check wire connectors behind light..loose wire in marr connectors...Reinstall using caulking...Good luck!!!!!!!!

Rubber grommet shouldn't need caulking. Plan this weekend is check bulb then wirning.

It looks like the light is a sealed light that will come out from the rubber seal. If so, you should check the power with a 12v test light and if all is good, then you will have to replace the light assembly.

From the close-up pic it looks like a sealed led light. If so, you will have to pop it out of the rubber grommet and get a replacement light. It helps to spray the rubber with dry silicone when installing the new light.

enough of a partial finger print I should track them done and have them redo it.....

Messy it is!!!!!! On my old TT you remove the rubber grommet and light all in one piece.....To re install you put grommet back in hole and then put light in grommet....You may need a little Vaseline on rubber so it will slip into grove....J

Here is the light pulled out. It's has sealer around it as the grommet is smaller then the hole. I have good voltage to the connection and also probed through the wire shield just below the bulb and have good voltage. Going with bad light bulb now. Pic is just to let you know how its wired. Those are crimp connectors.

Read somewhere if you have led lights you can use a 5 amp fuse and jump the top of your 7 Way plug to have the trailer lights illuminate. Top being where the protruding key of the plug is. Beats having to hook up the TV.

Yes...you can even put a 12V flasher across these terminals and they will flash the running lights....Some RV dealers do that here at RV shows.....Brings attention!!!...J

I have seen "poor" crimping ..wires were NOT twisted before crimping...Wiggle & pull them before you put back together...J

Got the new lights today. I replaced the left one. The replacement is a different style then the original. Looking from a distance it's hard to tell the difference. My OCD say replace the right one and keep it as a spare. Looks like the left one is a tad dimmer.
