Auto level jacks

Anyone know why not all of the the auto level jacks might not come down on a 17 Chaparral 392 MBL? When I levelled it the other day only the rear jacks made contact with the ground. The front two (not the main landing gear) stayed about 2 inches off the ground....the trailer is level but I would like the added benefit of eliminating some of the bounce as well!!!

Did it error out? If not they may have just ran out of travel??? Were you doing it manually? If so,the middle jacks wont come down unless you get a error.

I used the auto level feature but thats the strange thing, it did not error. I got a “level complete” message...when I verified it with a level and my iPhone, the trailer is perfectly level.

As for the length of travel, the site is perfectly flat, the rear control jacks are contacting the ground but the mid jacks are about 2 inches off the ground..there is still travel left in the jacks!! Last time when we parked there all four were completely down and contacting the ground.

I believe I would disconnect the power to the control part and reset the level. Can't hurt just takes a little time and a flat area to reset the level.

X2 I would try a reset or raise up middle set blocks under middle and retry. So what app I assume did you use on I phone to determine level sounds like I need same

I had the same problem with jacks not touching the ground but the system said it was done leveling. The RV was pretty level but all jacks not on the ground.

I fixed this issue by leveling manually and then resetting the zero point.

before it levels it should "ground the jacks" to make sure they are on the ground. if it isn't doing that it needs to be reset.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. The jacks did not initially touch the ground, I am going to retract all the jacks and try to re-level the unit. Do I have to take the slides back in before doing this?

do you have enough fluid in the reservoir to allow all jacks to fully extend. i was low on fluid once. also we stayed at a place once where one of the middle jacks would not contact the ground but it said it was level. i build a set of blocks to put under the jacks so they would not have to extend as far. never had the problem since and it does feel more stable using the blocks.

My system is not hydraulic, it’s electric. Like I said, it is level, but the middle jacks are not making contact. The rear jacks have pads under them but the mid jacks don’t as I did not have enough...lent 2 to the BIL but did not think it would matter.
