Axle Rating on Liberty Express 292BHDS

I noticed on my TT's axles that there is a label that states they are rated for 3500lbs each, that means a combined 7000lbs GAWR. Is anyone else's say the same?

This is a little bit of a concern as the specs on this trailer indicate a GVWR of 7600lbs. That doesn't leave much room left since my dry weight is 6120 lbs. Add 1000lbs of gear , and now I'm over the GAWR of the TT.

I know 13% sit on the tongue so that means 923lbs are on the tongue jack, but man that still cutting it pretty close.

I hope I don't end up with bent axles down the road when it out of warranty.

Simple. Stay under 7600 lbs.
So the 6120 is on the sticker right? Is it the delivered weight?
Don't forget to add the weight of the propane and battery too!

The axles are rated at the weight they are expected to carry at the maximum gross weight of the trailer.

Since tongue weight is not carried by the camper's axles it does not count. Even if you only put 10% on the tongue, that means 760 pounds is carried by the truck. 7600 - 760 = 6840 pounds
Split between the two axles each would have to support 3420 pounds which is under the max rating so you are good to go.

If you load "tongue heavy" at the max of 15% it will be an 1140 pound tongue. Only 6460 carried by the axles or 3230 each.

At the optimum tongue weight of 13% you will have 988 pounds on the tongue and the axles will only see 6612 or 3306 per axle.

All three cases are well under their safe operating load.

If it is reasonable to run the axles so close to their maximum rating, I have to wonder why some campers have much heavier axles under them. I have seen some "lightweights" with axles heavy enough to carry an extra 3000 lbs in extra stuff. Has anyone ever been able to pack 3000 lbs of food, cloths, and gear in their campers? So why does the factory put heavy axles under some, and max out others with light axles?

turbo, the Sabre is one that I noticed had heavier axles.
What is the excess GVWR over the dry weight (cargo weight) on yours? I would bet it is considerable.
