Best inexpensive travel trailer cover

With winter coming I am trying to decided on which cover is best for a Utah winter but won't break the bank. We started small with our first trailer and have a Catalina Santara 192SD. Any suggestions?

Always a tough decision. the whole cost/benefit stuff.

I have used the ADCO covers which worked well for a couple of years but then began to rip around the edges. They would say it was my fault for not tying it right or covering the edges. Probably. But still. You spend that kind of money it should hold up.

I will be viewing this tread as well to see what others think as I will have to get a cover this year as well.

Sorry I could not offer too much advice.

I'm still on the waiting list for an affordable indoor storage spot, so I may have to keep 'er at home this year & will also be monitoring this thread...

I really like my classic accessories cover. Nice and light weight easy to work with.It held up fine here in the top side land of Lincoln last winter. It was a bad winter here too, not as if any of us forgot!

The "Best Cheapest" RV cover is ... None.

IMO, covers cause more damage than they prevent.

During winterization:

WASH the camper walls with good quality clear coat car wash.
WAX the camper walls with a good quality clear coat wax.
Clean the roof with dish wash soap.
Get an AC cover to keep leaves and such out.
If you have vent covers you can "crack" the vents for circulation.

Try not to park under a tree, but if that is not possible; then it will be a bit more time consuming to get the roof cleaned again in the Spring.

The wax will keep your decals from peeling, so don't skip this step (ever) no matter how good they look.

Goes without saying.... Amazon has the permapro at a pretty good discount $356 for my 5er

We got our through walmart...Lasted only a few years also, but it was far less expensive than the ADCO...so all in all...good deal. Getting a new one soon also.

I had a few covers in my day. The permapro is the only cover I would recommend.

I had no damage of any kind to my tt. Handled high winds and lots of snow like a champ.
Just pad any sharp objects and use tennis balls on the down spouts.

Been there did that

didnt work out to well for me.

I can say the permapro is much better as I had both.

X2. I have always been mystified why folks would want to cover something specifically designed to withstand the elements

Now, I suppose if you live in a region that gets lots of snow, parking the unit under a carport might be a good idea, but covers can trap moisture and also provide a nice snug haven for all manner of critters

At Goshen I saw a rather pricy but really cool RV exterior maintenance system. Completely waterless (Herk, I ment to ask your opinion of this - what do you think?)

I was able to contact National Discount Covers and they basically told me to go pound sand. They cannot help me with a cover other than to take whatever it is they have. Pretty disappointed that they could not help me. They must buy them all from China and have no ability to alter the size.

My old cover was a custom one from ADCO. Pretty sure they were made right here in America and all they needed to do was cut the fabric to a large size and then sew it. National cannot do that.

Looks like my only option with them is a TT cover.

It does look like they offer some good fabric though. Oh well.
