Boondocking question

I plan on going to the deer woods this weekend and I'm trying to decide whether or not to add a second battery setup. I'll be camping for three nights with temps in the mid to high 30s and want to run my furnace at night to at least take the chill out. My trailer is a Coachmen 273DBS and it has the 30,000 btu furnace. I've got a 5000 watt generator that I take but I don't want to have to run it all during the day to recharge. I'm not even sure what size battery is on the camper since I just bought it. I'm assuming a group 24 or 27. Do yall think I will be good to go with one battery?

I'd do it - and makes sure they're both 6V gold cart batteries.

I killed my single 12V battery running the furnace on high-40 degree nights... never since putting the 2 6V's in..

You may have an auxiliary battery already installed - it depends on what package it came with. Either adding a second 12 volt battery or replacing with a pair of golf cart batteries would be good insurance.

Whatever setup you have, you should be able to bulk charge back to 80% capacity in one or two hours of generator use.

I would definitely get a second 12v. And hopefully you have changed out all your lights to LED...

Haven't changed out the light bulbs yet but I will eventually.
