Calling Chaparral 360IBL owners
We were at an RV show today & fell in love with this model.....can anyone give me some insight on it...likes/dislikes/problems? thx in advance.

There are several threads on here recently about the 360 from quite a few of us. Not trying to make this sound rude but take a look at the first few pages of this forum for them. Much easier to read the pages there then everyone repeat it.
I have had the most issues with mine compared to the other members but if you read through my thread, you'll understand my time crunch and that it was most likely rushed out the factory and there was no time for a pre delivery inspection.

Like Blwnsmoke said, a quick search will turn up quite a bit. I've yet to see a negative about the 360. I strongly considered a 360, but decided the 390 was a better fit for me. I like the kitchen better in the 360, but having a larger bunk room in the 390 was the deciding factor for me. I also have 2 pantries that I think somewhat off sets the extra storage space in the 360 kitchen. I also have a king bed in my 390. I'm not sure if that's an option on the 360. If you need or want a mid-bunk, you can't go wrong with either model.

My apologies. ..I should have searched. We did like the 390 better but the $ difference was far too much. One concern I had was the slide mounted fridge...I've heard they don't work as well due to the air flow not going straight out the top. Any insight on this?

No need to apologize. Sometimes it's hard to pick out topics from the post name or scrolling through pages of topics that aren't what you want. Just trying to point out this is a pretty popular model and a lot of people have been commenting.

Not sure yet. My old 5er I had for 15 years vented out the roof. Other than when a tree tore off the cover, I never had any issues with it venting. 
I hadn't heard about the cooling issues with the slide mounted friges. As long as they have been doing them, I would hope they had it sorted out by now or would stop doing it if it was still a problem.
But it IS the RV industry.

Do you mind if I ask the dollar difference? My dealer wasn't that far apart when we sat down to look at real numbers.

I have not had any issues with the fridge being in the slide out. I have have mine for about 14 months. With the summers in Texas the fridge keeps everything cool. I also added a recirculating fridge fan in the fridge to help out. I have had this with my other camper that had the fridge vent to the roof. Both kept the same temperature.
The 360ibl is great. No regrets. Really enjoy the counter space and island in the kitchen and all the room of the rear living area.

After thinking about it...I was mistaken...it was not a 390, it was a Brookstone model that was out of our range.

We love our 360! Only a minor plumbing issue but easily fixed. The "true" price for a 360ibl should be between $37000-44000 depending on options. Most fall around $39995 without Auto leveling. The price of the 390 is around $44,500 without Auto leveling and gets up around $49000 fully loaded with all boxes checked.

Fully loaded 360IBL from the right dealer will go for about $39,000 with just about every option. I paid a little over $38k and the only 2 options I didn't get were the dual pane windows and TV (bought better TVs for less money).
A loaded 390 will run you around $43k from one of the wholesale dealers. You can build them at the seedealercost.com website which is what I used when negotiating.
On a fully loaded 390, MSRP was $61,851.00 and invoice was $42,655.00. Many of the wholesalers will sell at invoice.

I currently have a 37+' 5er and I'm guessing the extra couple feet & 1500 lbs extra weight shouldn't make a big difference.

My 390 has every option except auto level, dual pane windows and the 12 cu/ft frige. I paid less than the $43k. A similar 360 was about $2k less. I hadn't looked at the seedealercost until after my deal. I almost felt bad for the dealer... almost.

I think you'll notice the length more than the weight. But neither should be a bother.
