Catalina and Catalina Santara owners

Just curious what Catalina and Catalina Santara owners think of their trailers? Would like to know what everyone sees as a pro and a con. We have the 192SD and love the cozy layout but wish we could put a bike rack on the rear bumper.

We love our Catalina 243RBS. This is our first summer with it and really haven't found anything to not like. It pulls easy, everything worked the first time out and my wife really likes the kitchen setup. I was told by our dealer that we could have some bracing welded to the bumper to add a bike carrier etc.

We have a Catalina 303KDS. This is our second season with this camper and so far, so good. Pulls nice, easy setup and nice fit and finish. The only thing I do not like are the aluminum fender skirts. I think the molded plastic types on other trailers look nicer, but that's just me being me. Click image for larger version

ID:	62241First year with our new Catalina. Everything great so far. We keep it permanently at a campground so I really don't have the problems that come with towing.

I have a 2011 28dds (no longer offered) and found it to be an excellent value for what you get. We are now in our 3rd season with it and no real complaints. With that said, I went to a show last week and will say I didn't like what I saw. Lots of fit and finish issues with a few of them and I am not a fan of the new color scheme on the aluminum siding.

2011 Catalina 24FBS and we love it, have not found anything wrong with it yet and we are the third owners. The first two owners used it a total of 6 times. Got it in May 2014 for under blue book wholesale price. We are going to be spending a lot of time in it as soon as it cools off a little in FL. Just too hot to go anywhere.

2015 Catalina 263 RLS. Had for 6 days and went to sanitize the water system. Turned on all faucets to circulate water. When all faucets were off, the water pump would cycle every 25- 30 seconds. Checked for water leak and found it was behind the shower wall. Did not do this during PDI at dealer. Returned it 2 days ago for repair. Dealer is genuinely concerned and being very helpful. All other systems seem to be fine and we love the floor plan and equipment it came with (50th Anniversary Edition). Will post when we take our shakedown trip (hopefully in two weeks!).

That's what attracted us to this model. Great use of space as well.

Glad to read such good reviews. It looks like our Surveyor is going to be a total loss from storm damage and we are looking at a new 2014 Catalina 293RKS.There is no longer a local Surveyor dealer and the closest one is over 3 hours away. The local Coachmen dealer is also handling the situation with our with our Insurance company and our Surveyor.

We absolutely love our 303RLS. The layout is perfect for us and the furry ones. If there was one thing that I would change it would be add a foot behind the slide. Two reasons... I wouldn't have to move the one recliner when retracting the slide and on the other side there would be a bit more room by the door. But I guess if they did that then it would be a 313 wouldn't it! Ha!

We have a 30rls and are happy with it. Only complaint I have, besides having to move the chair, the shower seems a bit tight. We can not get the door open all the way to get out of the shower, and must open the door to the hall to get out.

Had to put a "privacy" curtain in the hall. Anyone else experience this?

No...can't say we have the same issue. Which direction does your shower door open...towards the sink (left hinge) or towards the room door (right hinge)? Ours opens towards the room door, that might be the difference

DrieHunde,

Thanks for the note. I am not sure sure about right/left hinge. As your're facing the door, the hinge is on the left. When I open the door, it hits the toilet and will not open even 90 degrees. Therefore me, the shower door and the toilet vie for the same space.

Thinking about taking the door off and putting a shower curtain up.

Thanks again,

Jim

You're welcome and I can completely understand your problem with the door opening that direction!

Bought our 243RBS this spring and have been out 6 times so far. This is our first TT, and we still have our PUP for when the kids and grandkids join us. It has been trouble free except that the black tank sensor always shows 3/4 full.
