Chaparral lug nut issue

Getting prepped to tug the chappy done to the Smokey Mountains in a few weeks... my lug nut sockets won't fit inside the rim. It's a very tight lug to rim clearance!

I believe the socket should be 22mm, but where did you all get a thin enough walled socket to fit into that tiny bore in the rims?

Sears ( and most auto parts stores)usually has thin wall sockets including impact sockets. You want a six point socket and not a 12 point, as the 12 point can slip and round off your lugnut, then you you will have all kind of problems.

Without seeing your RV, most lugnuts are either 3/4" or 13/16" standard size...or 19mm or 21mm metric size.

Just for sizing purposes, see if you have a 13/16" spark plug socket in your tool collection somewhere, as they are thin wall a lot of times, and you can use it to check the lugnut size.

I had the same issue and could not find a socket with thin enough sides so I bought these.

How did you remove the OE nuts if you didn't have the right "Socket"? Changing to a "Bastard" special socket could lead to a Real removal issue if the "Bastard Socket was Lost or Broken"! Youroo!!
