I am on Verizon and had a pretty good signal (2-3 bars.) Just used my phone as a hotspot. Someday I will put a small antenna on my roof with a repeater amplifier.

Thanks. I was using a DJI Phantom 3 Pro. Flies like a dream. I was constantly crashing my Phantom 2.

If it's a Dometic, it pulls 12VDC for the "brains," but it may very well also have a door heater that pulls about 0.5 amps. Check the wiring diagram on the back of your fridge. On mine, it's item "K", see pic below.

Older models had a switch to turn them off, but the newer models don't.

I've attached a doc that shows you how to disconnect the door heater while maintaining the inside light. If you don't care about losing the inside light, just pull the wire off of pin J2.

Got tired of those small useless corner shelves that can barely hold anything without falling. So I took some scrap plastic I had, cut, painted and used 3M exterior double sided tape.
Now it will hold stuff and can leave it there while traveling.

Blackout curtains

Clipper Mods started with ways to cover the front window over the bed, since it doesn't come with a curtain or shade. We do not like to wake at the crack of dawn. DW is retired and I should be, also. We found the morning light to be too bright, so DW sewed removable curtains out of blackout fabric. They are boxed to hang over the valence boxes over each window at night.

Then, there is that front window. Her blackout curtain desigh had to change. We decided to hang a window cover with velcro, but not just any cover: DW started with the blackout fabric, then she began to create an alternate view thru the window. The blackout fabric was sewn over to replicate the black window frame. Scenery was added by sewing original appliques of a trailer, trees, campfire, and even a moose. A lot of work went into it, but it turned out beautifully. See photos.

For those who have added awning led strip, where did you tie into a power source?

Check out this Enard...

It will depend on if you have a power awning or manual...WNY had a power awning and pulled the power off a different place than I did with our manual.

Like BC.campr said, "It will depend on if you have a power awning or manual".

What awning do you have?

I mounted flat screen on 2018 17fq on end of cabinet over dinette facing the the bed. Then ran coax over to outlet by sink and door. Also painted coax near cabinets so would blend with color. Works great at foot of bed and it rotates for kitchen viewing.

I have a TV above the window in my 17BH and it has been awesome. I attached a wood panel to the studs (which were easy to find because they frame the window!) and attached the TV holder to that. Routed the wires above the door down to the outlets.
I will gladly send a pic if it would help, on the weekend when it isn't minus 29 outside...

Great stuff in this thread. I just got my camper (17RD) and haven't done anything to it yet.
Is there anything you did that you wished you hadn't?

Just some little things.

I attached two small plastic drawers under the dinette table to hold flatware and utensils, but I didn’t notice that I installed them close to the table edges, such that the table couldn’t lay flat to make the extra bed. Luckily, I can relocate the drawers and no one will see the extra screw holes on the underside of the table.

And the Robofoot on the trailer jack wasn’t as useful as I had expected. Gimmick.

Which stove cover did you use. And how do you mount your tv?

The stove cover was from Amazon. Here's the description:

Camco RV Stove Top Cover, Universal Fit, Convert Your Stove Top to Extra Counter Space In Your Camper Or RV- Black (43554)

I mounted the TV through the cabinets over the bed. I used a 3/4 piece of ply wood to help anchor it. The mount swivels so you can turn the TV toward the bed or toward the table.
Hope that helps and let me know if you want more pics.
